Me as a 37 years old now , I remember watching him as a kid, win every year for the strong man on espn. It would play re runs every summer. Dude is a beast. The first strongman who didn't have a gut either
Mariusz is a legend, loved seing him in Strongman events! People's Champ! :-)
I remember seeing him on strongman competitions and be like “Wtf, why is he better than everybody every time?” Legend.

Strongman are usually fat guys, they aren't that ripped!
The greatest strongman of all time 5 WSM titles (the most in history)

I remember watching this GOD of a man during his strongman reign when I was younger. He's an absolute animal! GOAT in Strongman competitions hands down.

Maruisz is the main reason strongman became so popular. After he retired, the popularity went down.

@@alugificator Big Z is the most accomplished overall but I would say Maruisz is better because he won the most WSM titles plus he was really undersized compared to his opponents. The only competitions he ever failed were the pure strength ones.

@@H.K.5 With no disrespect to Mariusz, IMO Zydrunas' 4 x WSM + 8 Arnold's beats Mariusz's 5 x WSM. Also consider that at least two of Mariusz's WSM wins came during the WSM/IFSA split where he was competing against a seriously depleted field.
What a gangster, this guy does whatever he wants whenever he wants. Maruisz for president.

Used to watch worlds strongest man every weekend on a friday with my dad eating his chinese food. Those were the days!
Love marius definition of polish power, a warior, I remember back then in early 2000s watching him compete in strongman when I was a kid and I was so impressed

Watched this guy dominate for years in strongman growing up, never knew he did mma. Legend!

There was nothing cooler at 13 than watching the 2001-2005 WSM shows at midnight

I rememer watching him and Magnus on ESPN at like 11pm. Side note Ariel, simplifying the questions will help the guests that aren't native English speakers, as well as thier translators. Great inverveiw.
Remember watching the strongman with the family around Christmas/new year and being in awe at how athletic and ripped he was - always did well in the speed based events. Haven’t seen him for awhile and was mind blown at how good his English is
