MARIT LAGE GOT NEW TOYS! Legacy Golgari Turbodepths combo with Modern Horizons 3 cards MTG
I play a Magic: the Gathering Online Legacy League with a Golgari Turbodepths deck. This list is trying out some new tools from Modern Horizons 3 to see if they are worth it.

Do you mean Lumbering Megasloth? That is not on MTGO yet.

If WotC can put Fallout on MTGO, then I'll play it. I own them in paper but haven't gotten to play very much with it
Do you think mutated cultist could see play in turbo depths?

Here's my comments about Mutated Cultist from my guide on Patreon: "The other card people have their eye on is Mutated Cultist, which hasn’t been good in my testing. The fact it makes Marit Lage at sorcery speed is a big drawback. The trade off of being a three mana spell is also pretty huge, and even though it doesn’t require an Urborg like Hexmage often does, it still often wants one as the Dark Depths isn’t tapping for mana without it, so it makes it take an additional turn which is just no good really. The other thing is that it removes counters via a cast trigger, but that’s far less of an issue if we have a Vexing Bauble. I will test it more before adding it to the guide below in earnest."
Surgical Extraction, when paying two life, still gets through Vexing Bauble, I believe. Phyrexian mana still counts as mana. So, Surgical Extraction is an option for your sideboard; it pairs well with your discard.

Not true, I'm afraid. Phyrexian mana counts in the mana cost, but when the game checks what mana you paid, it finds you paid none

@@toast_recon Then how come a Dismember can bypass a Chalice on 1, when 4 life has been paid?

@@Pun116Because Dismembers Mana cost alsways stays 3 and Surgical Extractions always stays 1 regardless of how you pay for the Phyrexian Mana cost. Bauble doesn't care about costs, it cares about actual mana being spent. If you pay with life, you didn't pay mana to cast the spell, same as with FoW or Daze. That's why Bauble counters it. If your instead pay B for your Extraction, you spent mana on it and Bauble doesn't care. If your Lotus Petal or Force get's taxed by Thalia and you pay the 1, Bauble also sees that you spent mana and lets your spell through, even though it's technically a free spell. A Chalice on 0, however, will still counter your Petal.

Vexing Bauble does stop it, because Phyrexian mana counts as paying life instead of mana, which is a weird rules interaction for sure.
