This deck is all gas, thank you for this haha
there is a german saying "viel hilft viel"=alot helps a lot. So yeah why not play alle the spells 😅
Very Entertaining :)
Brother you are posting the good quality content nonstop. Thank you so much.
I'm glad you think so :).
Yum
first
Hey there! Big fan, but some misplays in r4. You could have played legolas reflexes on dryad after they resolved the thrull
That's a really nice line. I made a lot of mistakes in this league if I'm honest, playing Maverick is not my strong point alongside also narrating as I go kind of compounds that :(
ggs❤
Just want to say thank you for providing clean content. I really like legacy and the content that comes out of it, but most other creators cant keep it clean. Keep up the good work!
I try to keep it accessible for all audience, glad you appreciate it :)
Did I miss sth. or could you have used Frog to exile your archon in response to the Reanimate in round 5 game 1? Anyway great content as always and congratulations on the 5-0 :)
Yeah, that would have been the correct thing to do
45:56 excuse me, I'd like to report a murder
I wanna support you so im gonna leave this running in the background. But I aint gonna watch cuz F scam xd😂
Can't argue with that, although I will say there is some cool gameplay in this one ;)
11:18 if I'm not mistaken, you cpuld have gone for lethal here. Play out Apprentice, GSZ for X=1 finding another Exalted dude, GSZ for X=0 failing to find, then attack with the Knight. 4/4 Knight + 2x Exalted + 2x apprentice drain = 8. Ultimately you won next turn anyway so barely matters, but idk I just like thinking about lines like this lol
Yeah, someone else pointed that one out in the discord :(
I've run Tarmogoyf in the sideboard of RUG Delver and it was pretty good! Some matchups you just want a big dork that Grief can't block.
round 4 game 1 you conceded to them stifling your fetch, but you could have played out a karakas and forced them to have a force of will
Witherbloom combo requires smog which can't be tutored. Mirran and agent is a 2 creature combo so both pieces can be searched up.
I'm a simple man. I see a Saito pile, I upvote.
From deck tech and r1g1 it is unclear whether you're aware of maze of ith/xantid swarm synergy, but ability to run xantid swarm into a powerful blocker without losing it seems useful.
@@janhornbllhansen4903 that's some interesting tech I didn't think of. I am very far from being a maverick guy but I have a lot of respect for Maverick players
Wasteland and Thoughtseize 🤢
One of my fav decks
Big fan of this deck and this channel. One thing, have you considered a silent mouse and keyboard? I’m sure there are some really quiet ones out there. Not sure if it’s just my headphones but the keys really cut through.
@@bjornlohmander7431 at some point I'll try to grab some, only issue is that I'm poor haha. When I have to replace them, I'll get silent ones, but I can't afford to splash out on new stuff right now. Need quite a lot more views to pay for them
@@crucible_of_words hear! I’ll do my share for the views for sure, haha! Keep up the excellent work!! 👌
@@bjornlohmander7431 very kind of you :)
Awesome run!
Woo! Congratulations. Love to see it. :-)
You should play 1x wasteland no? like to tutor for. seems like a big loss here
I like the one of Wasteland, but this list was built by a Cloudpost expert who won a challenge with it, so they definitely know better than I. That said, I'd love to squeeze in a Wasteland, but I guess if you are Mycoispawning and Ulamogging, you already have the LD you want?
Post players rejoice! This is the best version ever of cloudpost in legacy. I do think having 1of wasteland in the main is very important, double land destruction in the same turn is back breaking. I personally like having a bigger Karn wishboard as well as having 4 Karn in the main deck. A card I've cut completely from my lists is OUAT, it has felt much worse than previous MH3 version, since it has more non fetchables than before and this build has less green sources so casting it is much harder.
This deck isn't easy to pilot. Many of the lines are unconventional, and mulligans are crucial. I hope you'll give it another try
finally!
Please don't talk about Karn's modest package, he is shy :p.
ping, ping, ping, ping, ping, ping, ping, ping, ded.
ppl bitching so much on legacy First it was murktide, then the one ring, then bowmaster, now grief xD
I think one deck being over 40% of the meta is definitely a problem tbh.
I wonder if Wight is really better than Fiend Artisan in this style of deck? Or maybe you want both? Being able to tutor creatures feels more powerful than tutoring lands. Besides Grist, I'm also puzzled the deck doesn't play Allosaurus.
The good cradle control players have come to this list so I imagine it's better than anything I could suggest, but I did miss Fiend Artisan and Allosaurus is another good shout too
I had a new idea. You play torpor orb effects. And play all titans, like Uro, Phlage, Kroxa. Making you have no sac triggers. Its slow but might be good.
That was sort of a deck once upon a time.
why llanowarelves and other manadogs ? Why dont stay at nettle sentinel und b. ranger. this manabase is a bit slower but much better for go for combo elves without nadu. ouphe in main is not good, too, because he is no elve. i played the deck at 3 tournements now and manadogs was very bad games.
The list isn't mine, but this list has been doing very well in tournaments. I think the manadorks allow for more reliable casting of Nadu on Turn 2 and are individually better to untap.
Your dress down doesnt stop your blue magus ability due to the layer system
@@AvatarCtv as we all know, layers are basically wizardy
i just love stifflenought
Why is spell snare not coming back in a format where the big deal is to fight frog and bow master ?
I've seen it a little bit here and there, but it's not as flexible as other counters and does virtually nothing against Cloudpost or Eldrazi
Love the channel, this is a deck I played at my local. I think prismatic strands has to be an error in a paper decklist it has to be ending.
"joy = lack of grief" in the chat is hilarious
Big fan of the channel. Cool to hear a little bit about your experience with legacy and get a glimpse of the history of the format. Would enjoy more such stories in the future
Well played :)
I love this deck so much im sorta maining it right now Drifter is real I kinda thing vexing bauble is a good addition to allow you to freecast. Maybe 4 in sideboard and bring them in on the play.
I haven't seen the entire video all the way through so I don't know if the Prismatic Strands came up, but when I saw this list a when it popped up on mtgtop8, I instantly wondered if those Strands were supposed to be Prismatic Endings. I play this deck and Endings are commonly in SBs. I am looking forward to watching all the way through to find out.
100%
I think it's relatively likely they are meant to be endings, but figured it was worth trying it as listed to see if I could find a use for them in case it was some full on mad scientist tech somewhere lol
does the deck just fold to blood moon effects or have i missed something?
Blood Moon is definitely good against it for sure, but you can win through it by just casting your big spells and the One Ring and Karn are still decent under blood moon and can buy you the time you need. It's certainly not great to be under the moon tho
The safekeeper is there for the combo with springheart + nadu + endurance So if no more land in the library, you sac all your lands, then endurance it back to the library Then proceed with nadu + nantuko, making token and drawing your deck Then continue to make insect token and mana as much as you need to win with thoracle
@@Laydkwais my problem with that, is it doesn't really seem necessary and the safekeeper feels bad if the list doesn't have 4 Spring heart. The issue is getting the combo going, not having multiple outs after you've drawn your deck. Safekeeper becomes an awkward combo piece of the only one you can tutor whilst being a singleton that really needs another singleton (Spring heart) as well as the Nadu. That's a lot of pressure on tutors. If the list had four Spring heart, it would be far easier to get the ball rolling and use safekeeper as the starting combo piece.
@@crucible_of_words yeah, this list feels like, the one of is just like optional combo piece, if u have it on the field it's good, if not, u still can combo nadu + nomad, then when the engine is going, u either have the one of in your hand or search it using the gsz But when the combo is disrupted, the one of, feels really bad when u draw it I want to try 4 springheart, but don't know is it worth cut the swords for more springheart
Round 2 Game 1 in your last turn you could have bounced chalice (Otawara costing only 3 because of Nadu) and then pondered to find nomads or safekeeper and try to combo. Seemed unlikely to survive one more turn as you said yourself. Anyways great content as always :) appreciate you doing these vids besides the horrible meta
thx for the great content!
Is anyone expecting bans in legacy to hit rescaminator? Like ive considered getting into the format but thats a bunch of not fun games i saw in just round 1.
Rescam is def getting bans in the next update. Grief is 100% going to go, I'd be surprised if Frog didn't get the axe too
In terms of what you said at the end, I can say with a lot of confidence that the SFM version of this deck sucks super hard. The whole package is next to useless these days, Kaldra is trash, Batterskull is too slow, the only good things you can get are Lion sash, Pre-War Formalware and Shuko which is just bad Nomads en kor. Zenit gives you an option to get Nadu and chain value creatures like Bill to win the game slowly, you dont have to get 15 cards with nomads + Nadu to win the game. You get mana acceleration and better top decks with GSZ, with SFM you have a better control deck as you are playing less creatures and more interaction, but a strictly worse nadu deck. Nadu + Shuko is just 2 cards on their own. I mean that's a laughable combo. Nomads + Nadu is 8 cards at least, there really is no point in running shuko at this point.
tbh I did not like this build and BoshNRoll played a stoneforge list a few weeks back that looked better than this one. I don't have the reps on the deck at all so I could definitely be wrong
@@crucible_of_wordsI have done a ton of testing with stoneforge as well and it's really not good at all. You really don't want to be casting it. Kaldra is way too slow for what this deck wants to do. From my perspective gsz is the much better option.
Sick video!
Nadu is most assuredly sick
Why no lotus petal for speed?
Omni-Tell decks tend to run a touch slower, this wasn't my list so you'd have to ask the people who know in the discord
