I guess Mario Is a victim of himself

This is such a fresh take on MARIO. I like how instead of Mario being evil and spooky, he's just confused about everything that's going on. He really acts as a Player stand-in. It's honestly a tad bit funny. The last part with the actually scary stuff is also phenomenal, nice way to tie in VICTIM 1, without them being the focus.

The sight and noises from whom I'm assuming is Mario dead inside a pipe, is very unsettling. This is great work man, love your horror

MARIO was probably one of the many creepypasta’s I saw as a child that managed to stick with me. As someone that grew up with Nintendo and especially Mario games, it’s terrifying to play a otherwise extremely normal game that has such a dark secret. The idea of everyone leaving you and blaming you for a perceived fault, people you once knew and trusted highly, is an extremely effective idea imo. It's a very unique form of loneliness and mental torture.

Dude, I remember when this game first came out, and being so terrified when I saw the image file. Seeing this brings such a smile to my face. I’m so hyped for this. Edit: Wow, for being so short it’s really unsettling, and depressing, the way you make the body contort and move in such an extreme and unusual fashion really makes it unsettling, like a buildup to a jump scare, and when it displays a modified version of the original image at the last frame, it really spooked me, max respect for not using an audio stinger.

I need to say, that was creative as hell, also, “corpse stuck in sewer pipes” is actually more creative than “body found on carpet”, especially for Mario creepypasta, W

I think this is now my most favorite vibing leaf video. Not only is it a video related to my favorite gaming creepypasta, but it's also well written and still creepy despite it being one minute long. You can feel how heart broken and desperate Mario is, how he tries to think of a reason why everyone is gone and why no one is around. You start to feel bad for the guy, but at the same time, you feel like something isn't quite right. And the fact that Yoshi is just listening and glaring at Mario like he is judging him, just makes me feel uneasy.

My guess is that Mario is a representation of a real man, and "yoshi" is one of his friends. there's some imposter mario that's making him look evil, akin to shadow mario in sunshine. When Yoshi disappeared, it was this "shadow mario" person who took him and put his corpse in the sewer.

i love this take on the Mario's voice, sounds so different but at same time close to the og, like if Mario was actually saying something serious. smth i don't like at all is the new victim#1 text, it could be interpretated as something from the game like if mario did or as something outside the game, here is just in the mario universe. and also, the original line can be interpretated as a crime victim, here can even be mario himself stuck, (wich i honestly don't think since the face isn't similar in any way) don't get me wrong, i still love this and it's a nice interpretation, it's just that in my opinion the original line and history of the game can be interpretated in more of one way

Ah, yes. The one creepypasta that scared me as a kid. It wasn't the story, just the image of the victim... I am so happy to see it be reimagined on this channel! Edit: Finished the video. I LOVE IT! Mario sounds so confused and desperate. The main thing I want to figure out is whether or not Mario actually committed the crime or not, assuming everyone hates him because they believe he did it. We can see his mental health deteriorating, but was it before or after the crimes? If it was before, I think an interesting take is him committing the murders, believing he was doing good, possibly from paranoia or some other belief which would justify him wondering why people hate him. He could've been confused by what was in the pipes because it was victim one. We don't know the exact time between each murder, so it could've been so long he forgot. If he didn't commit the crimes, people might just be blaming him because of a preconceived belief that, due to him not being mentally well at the time of the crimes, he must have been the one behind them. Especially if it was a very sudden change from his normal demeanor. If it was after the crimes, his mental state could be deteriorating due to both the blame and, if he did kill them, the guilt. He could be trying to deny that he did it both to convince others he didn't do it and himself that he didn't. So, his wondering of what is in the pipes could be from him pretending not to know. Nobody else is there, but pretending could be a coping mechanism and a way to convince himself he didn't commit the crimes. If he didn't do it, then the mental health deterioration is most likely due to the shunning and blame he is receiving for something he didn't do. Sorry for the long post I just love speculating on things. It is so fun to me.

Here's my take. After countless years of saving the day, Mario grew tired of it all. Perhaps he snapped at Peach. Told her she's useless for always getting kidnapped. Or maybe Mario really didn't do anything, and everyone turned on him for no reason. Whatever happened, it took a toll on Mario. Alone with his thoughts, he entered into a green pipe. But he never emerged from the other side. He got stuck down there. He'd scream and yell for help, but no one could hear him. For weeks he starved. Until eventually, he died. Three months later, he was found dead. His eyeballs had rotted out of the sockets. Now, Mario's soul is stuck in purgatory. He vents his frustrations to his former friends that were never there to begin with. For eternity he'll ponder about the pipe below him. If he chooses to look down, all he will see is his own rotten body.

There are content creators who have fun. And then there’s VibingLeaf. You are amazing man, turning one of favorite creepypastas into your own. Keep up the good work man

The MARIO hack is one of the only creepypastas from back in the day that were actually kinda spooky. I guess the fact nothing violent or super insane happens, which makes the story more grounded in reality. and while the rom-hack itself is pretty darn simple and just ends on a black screen, it leaves a whole lot of room for interpretation.

Actually disturbing for a 3d reimagining of the MARIO creepypasta's ending. Good job.

I absolutely love this retake! I think it's interesting and sad how since in the story Mario is in purgatory, and in this video he has a hallucination that yoshi is there with him, but he's really just talking to no one, and Victim#1 is keeping him in an endless cycle.

Short, innovative, and most importantly, EFFECTIVE. Jesus, the goosebumps I got from the ending scene are going to be unmatched for a really looooooooong time.

I love the angle on this, both literally and metaphorically. It plays on the romhack itself being so...inexplicable due to how and why it was made; As a joke that still genuinely freaked people out, and just happened to use Super Mario World as a vessel. As a result, even Mario doesn't actually know what the hell is going on or why he's been put through this. He's just another person trying to solve the mystery. A mystery that unfortunately, has no end-point by design.

Recently there's been reports of a serial killer in italia, a guy dressing as Mario, This guy usually extracts a random organ from their victims before killing them, what the killer does to the organs is unknown. one of our most recent victims was doing a stream, playing super mario 64, All stars category, most of the footage was recorded, but only the last part will be shown: "Lets goo! 70 stars already! Now-" The streamer hears some knocking on the door. the Killer outside: "It's-a me! Mario!" The streamer grabs the laptop to which he was recording with, then he goes closer to the window attempting to record the killer's face.

Oh god, where do I start? I remember the MARIO CreepyPasta when it was originally published, and with the image of Victim #1 does scarred so many people, even with the message of Victim #1 itself. With the retake/remake itself of the MARIO CreepyPasta is pretty much surreal to me. Especially with the fact that how Mario was out of character when he says the fact that everyone was against him. And the buildup for an unexpected scene have gave me the unnerving vibes there, and even the visuals itself is also fantastic.
