I don’t wanna start a war, but I disagree with your “fast path” on Mount Wario. The faster path is actually jumping off at about the third arrow, skipping the last road. You’ll go down to the water and that constant water speed plus tricking is fantastic. (Also my way gives 5 tricks, instead of your 4)

Great to see that you are back with the MK content!

There is one super small shortcut in Grumble Volcano, it is right after the first moving pillar, there is that little dirt path where you are forced to turn right, well you can just jump right over it and save you the trouble of turning hard right.

@@ello-olle I don't know much about the games but from watching mkwii it seems like wheeleing only lets you go faster/ maintain speed. Correct me if I am wrong. Imo it's kind of a lame way to just go faster that doesn't need to be in the game apart from separating the types of vehicles. It looks cool though

@@nucleartree8159 wheelies make you faster, but you cant turn and if someone or somrthing hits you, it'll take damn long for you to recover. It's a risk, but succeeding rewards you greatly

I have been doing the Nitro Rainbow Road one for a while now. I feel like it's one of the most generous ones to pull off and generally easy. I think most require a bike either way and I cannot learn how to us one properly

there's actually one on SNES rainbow road, the ramp between the two thwomps can get you across the gap if you build up enough speed

I do the Mario kart stadium glider one, the Yoshi circuit waterfall and the Mario circuit tire jump like all the time but not the others

That first shortcut on Mount Wario is plausible in 150cc as well

Wildwoods shortcut was CLEAN

It's a quirk of 200cc's, the speed is so high that your initial loss of velocity isn't registered fully on some surfaces. It's partly what drove me (I'm not op) to dig into these kinds of shortcuts during my own play. In short, it's because you're going so fast that the games environmental data doesn't have the chance to slam you into a dirt pile the way 150ccs does. Hopping also reduces the impact of the environmental effect because you're not sticking to it for very long. The Hobbit(Gamecube era) had a respawn effect that only took place if you stood on the ground for 2 seconds at a time, otherwise, if you keep jumping like a mad fool, it will respawn you where you last stood for 2 seconds. I'm sharing that second bit so you can appreciate why it may not happen as instanenously as you imagine, imagine if you only just nudge the off-side terrain in 200CCs how jarring it would be to play with and you can understand why there's a measure of leeway. Hope it helped and if you're interested in seeing more Mario Kart footage I plan on streaming and uploading content on my channel alongside others so sub if you're keen but I'm not going to be upset if you're not. :)

(This goes for the 150 too) do these cuts have weight and vehicle requirements? Or would I able to use them with a light character? Edit: I'm guessing yes because you switched to Villager for some.

I doubt any stat that isn't mini turbo or handling Is going to affect the ability to take these shortcuts. In other words, playing the 150cc meta would work wonders. Maybe consider playing Baby Peach/Rosa if need be. (I don't play much 200cc but I've played 150cc for hundreds of hours and am very good at this game.)

@@Moss_Dude For 150cc, heavies are meta. For 200cc, I've seen both light and heavies depending on the track, I don't really play it. It doesn't really matter who you play, you can take this shortcuts with whatever.

I think if the track has more twists and turns, then lightweights are better in 200cc. I main Wendy and I find myself being able to keep up with heavies in 200cc because of being able to turn so much better. But if it's a stage like excite bike where it's mostly straight road, then heavies dominate.
