Krys so far from the truth.. Mario is known as one of the greats of real R&B. Just because his last album was released 9 years ago and music has (unfortunately) taken a different turn, doesn’t make him ‘slept on’.. Good to know you are a fan, but just enjoy it and let mainstream people miss out on his beautiful music, their loss ;)

I was a fan. But him being involved in that stuff was not his fault. Remember he wasn't old enough to sign a record deal so his mom sold his soul. It's a sad story.. I'm a fan too smh.

I wish ppl would stop this " he sacrificed ____" narrative that they love to push, especially when it comes to black celebs. It's so ignorant and it's as if black celebs just can't have suffering or loss. Mario's mom was addicted to drugs long before he was famous. Famous people have problems and heartache too and not because they "sacrificed" to get on.

I'm from the older generation when it comes to R&B, but Mario was one of the newer artists that came after the 90's that I appreciated because you can feel his songs when he sang. It's just sad that real talents do not get attention and respect. I am glad that he did Verzuz and showcased his talent.
