Marinade Tough Steak | Steak Marinated (Submerged) In Olive Oil

I wanted to try the old method of completely marinating meat in olive oil at least once. So, I submerged the Eye Round Steak in olive oil and marinated it for 20 hours before cooking. It was delicious. The meat became somewhat tender and had a confit-like flavor, but it still felt a bit tough. I think that using this method with New York steak or top sirloin would result in an excellent dish. I'll try it again when I have the chance. And it doesn't seem necessary to use expensive olive oil
Ingredients:
- Olive Oil
- Rosemary
- Thyme
- Salt
- Black Pepper
- Oil
- 8 Garlic Cloves
- Butter (5 tbsp)
