she remembers every date and what she did on that day. she did an interview with I think Bob Costas and he heard about this and just pulled a random date up and asked her what she did on that day. Turns out it was the day she lost her virginity. He had no idea. Priceless! it's probably on youtube

it's funny, I just watched 4 videos in a row (on auto-rotate), with a different Taxi actor telling the same story about Andy/Tony, the hookers, and the toy dogs...it's even more interesting to hear each tell their own version, but with all of the details remaining the same! It's unbelievable that Marilu has aged nearly 40 years since then, because she still looks as gorgeous as ever!

It always struck me that Andy Kaufman and Keith Moon drew water from the same well...would have been interesting to see those two together.

I have read Kaufman was the type of artist who didn't really care about getting a laugh, just a reaction. If you got mad and wanted to punch him, that was fine, that was a reaction and I think that's where he was going with the Clifton character. It's been said the one time he came out of character, it was because he had Freddie Prinze so mad at him he was afraid he was going to get hurt. So listening to her story, it sounds like he got the reaction he wanted and then moved on.

Almost 40 years later and they are still talking about it. Exactly how Andy would have wanted it. Andy got the last laugh!

With all due respect to all the Andy Kaufman fans out there he was kind of an asshole. It was all about his shtick and poking and prodding people, both cast and audience members, into reactions and pushing their buttons for his own amusement. Though he was a talented guy and had some good work much of his "performance art" was basically just about seeing how far a grown man could get away with acting like a toddler before people got fed up with him.
