This is an excellent recording of Marillion live in the Netherlands in 1984. The band is on fire here and the whole performance is outstanding.
As bootlegs are just that, bootleg recordings, I've done some restoration work.
The restoration work looks something like this:
WAV (16-48) slight widening - EQ - Bass work - Linear phase compression - slight limiter - KZread.
Note: This version sadly omits Script For a Jester's Tear.

The more I listen to this Market Square Heroes, the more I think this live-version is one of the best live-versions the band ever played of this song. It is so good.

FISH and supergroup line-up never let down when it comes to producing; even if it is 1984. At least I’m alive now and don’t mind him using the ‘f’ word now and then. Make my day! The spookiest assassin ever made as a harbinger of peace on earth.

Fish the Best of Marillion! Sehr 😢 traurig, dass Fish & Marillion getrennte Wege gegangen sind! Wer weiß was da noch großartiges verloren gegangen ist... 🤔? Fish & Marillion, gehören einfach zusammen! Genauso wie Phill Collins & Peter Gabriel! Alles sehr sehr traurig 😢 😭

excuse me, you did a great job and where is the problem about the presumed absence of the song namede "Script for a jester's tear": we are not to weep for such a thing. I fully thank you for what you have done which is with no doubt an excellente thing at all!!

Sorry but I had to make another comment. So “jigsaw” and “Cinderella search” may be considered as b-sides but definitely sung like full-on classics here. Steve, Mark, Pete and Ian should not be forgotten because they are amazing. However, FISH giving his all is very helpful: Jim Morrison like in his storytelling, falsetto, screaming, whispering, talking, leading, personality speaking and what else? - too numerous to enumerate. Nobody else fits the mold (think about it). Nobody. The mould?

@@timmac9985 We understand each other. I just kept following Fish. And I don't regret. If you haven't listened to what he released as solo artist, I highly recommend it. What a pity that he quit performing live. We're all getting older. But that doesn't mean he stopped creating great music 😅
