    I just drove for a distance of 300miles on the highway - having this album on repeat. When I arrived, I felt like I traveled through space & time. Best purchase I made this year... probably the best album I bought in years. Easily one of the best records I listened to in my whole life. It's as close to perfection as it gets. Favorite tracks: Nattväsen, ~42°, Loss Aversion /// CBL... thank you for this piece of art, it gives me peace of mind.

    And one small note about traveling in space and time: we always do, even when you just lay down on the ground, you still traveling thru space on huge piece of matter that we call Earth. Universe is moving and we are part of it. Being is movement.

Honor them by living your best life and remembering what they and the experience as a whole taught you. Much love to everyone.

    I understand exactly what you're trying to say. It's weird, because other ambient producers just don't sound quiiiiite right. But CBL know how to build a complete album that just works. There are other Ultimae artists that can make amazing tracks, but overall, making a complete piece work, CBL seem to be the only ones.

    I have the same feeling about their music. It has to be something about frequency. Some music just sounds good and we like it but some triggers the very core of our consciousness. I guess there is music for the mind and music for the soul. And CBL music is for both :')

  • @alexanderwicked8990

    @alexanderwicked8990

    6 жыл бұрын

    It's not only frequency - it's rhythmic delays and their hallmark liquid SFX, as well as pads/drones washed by the long reverberation. Also they use subtle side-chaining on their bass lines quite a lot that creates rhythmic pump feeling.

    Same. I think it's because CBL isn't afraid to bring the warm feelings of the new age genre into their music. So it's kind of dark and atmospheric, yet warm, glowy, smooth. It's what sets them apart from anyone else and why I've loved them for so many years.

    *Timestamps with Lyrics* 01 Accede 0:00 02 Derelicts 5:43 Obsolete technology. Derelict machine. 03 Clouds 11:55 04 Nattväsen 16:25 _Grown up girl_ Many years ago, when I was a little girl, I found myself lost in the forest. Alone. I felt a strange warm energy. Something was coming closer. It guided me deeper into the forest, and down under the ground _Girl, repeated 4x_ They were friendly creatures, not at all evil I followed them down underground This is my home now _Old man_ Well, I'm not sure what to believe about those stories. But I can tell you for damn sure that the girl was nowhere to be found. We searched every inch of that forest and found nothing. 05 Equilibrium 22:03 Gravity, weight, restore equilibrium Movement, back and forth 06 Path Of Least Resistance 30:59 Self... Distant... And cold... Corrupted... 07 780 Days 37:39 08 ~42° 43:55 It isn't really a thing, nor does it exist in one particular place. You could say that it is an optical phenomenon that only appears when the atmospheric conditions are just right, and so is the sunlight. It is also dependent on the viewer's position, that should be in this one particular place. It isn't something divine or angelic, but it's appearance can be truly and utterly breathtaking. I dunno about Sweden, but I'm Danish and our languages are similar but spoken with different accents. In Denmark we would say/write "Natvæsen", and it would mean "night creature" or "night being"...and listen to the voice in the track; "they were friendly creatures"..."Væsen" is mostly used for weird beings, it has a negative vibe to it when it's used correctly...Not really a word that is used much anymore either.

    What n1Abyss said. I'd say "väsen" refers to a mythical being.

    ^Mythical being is a better word. At first I saw a being like a troll when I saw the word again. But I shouldn't have said "negative vibe". Væsen is more like "an unknown". But by old standards the unknown could probably often be seen as a potential threat. Like we still use væsen when we refer to a space alien here in Denmark; Rumvæsen. Or since "Ronja Røverdatter" is a swedish story, maybe CBL are thinking about "Rumpenisserne". hehehe

    Man...CBL is soooo good. I still hold that Interloper is their best album. In my opinion, I'd say it's a perfect album...in the sense that you can listen over and over again, all the way through, and never get bored with it. This album has been really neat so far, and I'll keep listening. Good stuff, thanks guys!!

    You know how good ambient music is when you are so lost in your process/monologue, you don't even notice that you notice it, and that it is quietly helping you stay in your focused flowstate and get stuff done. This is why CBL. much like Stellardrone, and H.U.V.A Network are so awesome. :)

    Constant and intensive goosebumps @ ~42° It isn't really a thing, nor does it exist in one particular place You could say that it is an optical phenomenon that only appears when the atmospheric conditions are just right, and so is the sunlight It is also dependent on the viewer's position, that should be in this one particular place It isn't something divine or angelic, but it's appearance can be truly and utterly breathtaking And some would say that it is borderline magical

    I have been hand-picked by the celestial gods, as a usable specimen of the human, to go forward in time and space as a representative and show other galaxies what inhabits Planet Earth. How humbling this is, and as my theme I have chosen CBLF, to calm and enlighten those who may gaze upon me wondering my intentions. I thank CBLF for this opportunity , and hope they can continue to present celestial enlightenment to all.

    @@vaclavdvorsky702 “Ah, devil ether. It makes you behave like the village drunkard in some early Irish novel. Total loss of all basic motor skills. Blurred vision, no balance, numb tongue. The mind recoils in horror, unable to communicate with the spinal column. Which is interesting because you can actually watch yourself behaving in this terrible way, but you can’t control it. You approach the turnstiles and know that when you get there, you have to give the man two dollars or he won’t let you inside. But when you get there, everything goes wrong. Some angry rotarian shoves you and you think ‘What’s happening here? What’s going on?’ And you hear yourself mumbling… ‘Dogs fucked the Pope… no fault of mine.’ Ether is the perfect drug for Las Vegas. In this town they love a drunk. Fresh meat. So they put us through the turnstiles and turned us loose inside.” -Raoul Duke
