Thank you for this! Over 40 years ago, I did a book report on Marian Anderson for my 6th grade history class, we then had to present our reports orally in front of the school. She remains one of my favorites!❤️

Thank you so much for this informative video. When I was young i heard of Ms. Anderson but never learned much about her. Great to hear stories of people overcoming ignorance, hate and racism with perseverance and love!

well done... this White Boy was vaguely aware of Marian Anderson and her contribution, but not the scope and scale of her accomplishments and high regard. I actually stumbled across an old "What's My Line" show on KZread today in which she was the Mystery Guest... the dignity and respect with which she was treated warmed my heart and made me want to learn more about her. Thank you.

Well "White Boy", welcome to the world of Awesome Blacks ( my coinage). Hope you continue to expand your knowledge and experience. To the narrator; I never had the privilege of seeing and hearing Marian, my two older sisters did, so I knew of her. To you, Sir, you can draw. Sgnd: Island girl. 👍🙏🤗🌴

What a Marvelous, Gifted and Talented woman! Isn't it time that Americans wake and come together in Unity in Diversity? Is that too much to ask so that we can put an end to the violence and anguish that families suffer and endure? Are we not a predominantly Christian country? Would the Christ who was the "Light of the World' be pleased with this asinine behaviour by those who call His Blessed Name? Absolutely Not!!
