Mariah Carey was ALWAYS respectful to the older artists who had come before her. She would step behind them to give them the spotlight. She had great reverence for other singers and it shows here. I have always respected her for that quality of generosity of spirit and humility.

This makes it clear that we cannot win the spiritual battle by our own strength. Moreover, on earth the devil has no equal. GOD has provided us with the ONE WHO CAN AND WILL LIFT the heavy burden of sin's guilt from a given sinner's heart if he or she (through faith) would open their understanding to Psalms (starting with the focus on Psalms 51:1-10 KJV) and hymns/songs in which praise is given to HIM for the purpose of being persuaded, converted and healed by the HOLY SPIRIT from within. Consequently, the transformation of the body/temple as a meeting place between you and the KING OF THE AGES to commune as friends via the born again experience (repentance manifesting itself in a changed life). It is only here that the fears of tomorrow will diminish, the blessed assurance is given that you are HIS and HE LIVES. Once the blessed assurance is known in prayer (through the confession of wanting salvation from one’s sinful nature, combine with admitting that JESUS CHRIST is LORD and believing in one’s heart that GOD raised HIM from the dead to deliver us from sin's guilt) the world can never take it away because the world didn’t give it to you.

Another thing: Aretha, Patti, Diana Ross, all the Diva Legends are shady when it's deserved, as well, but for some reason Mariah is the only one that gets called out for it. Mariah learned from these Divas that came before her and she knows she belongs along side them. These legends (including Mariah) have only shaded the ones that don't show respect which, funnily enough, are usually the new artists that own their whole career to these Divas that set the stage for them to thrive on. Mariah's generation of artists is probably the last to show respect for those before them; all the generations of artists after the 90s fail to have respect and feel entitled and like they dont have to earn their spot as a legend/diva.

These agitations of the soul create a heavy burden for the lost and could lead him or her to be hostile of songs that sing about GOD’S GLORY.

Something I allways loved to see is how real Legends respect each other. Mariah's always been SO respectful to Aretha, Whitney, Patti Labelle, Minnie Riperton, and Michael Jackson, and it's so classy and humble from her, 'cause when you are a star, an icon, a rol model a standar as a songwriter and as a vocalist (just like Mariah is) you must be thankful for the gift you recieved, she has always been grateful, and even dedicates song to God like Make It Happen and Fly Like A Bird, this woman is like a National Treasure, her gift is just unparalled.
