When she's on, she's one the best -- I mean, even when she's flat, she's better than most people -- but A LOT of editing and studio enhancements goes into her performances to present her the best. Interviews from sound crews that worked with her for TV appearances back in the 90s/2000s confirm this.

The Love Takes Time bridge and climax always gets me for the feelings while Vision of Love is all about the powerful voice and technique... I haven't stopped listening to her ever since, through "bad and good".

I grew up with mid-2000 Mariah songs but have started listening to her older songs from the 90’s and I’m in awe of this woman!!! 2:56 - I am absolutely OBSESSED with these whistle notes. Also, the other parts of the performance are good, as should be expected from someone on Mariah’s level. Mariah is one of the vocalists the world is blessed to have seen. She blows you away every single time.
