And here it is!! The true test of being an icon is being able to have your own story. I didn't have to scroll far before I found Serenas name lol. I watch so many videos on serena and Maria name never shows up. But I can never see Maria mentioned without serena. She was icon adjacent at best

2006 was her best year playing-wise. Here and at the AO 2008 she was at her peak.

@jannejames7224 she didn't say it, Drug test results going back to Feb 2005 say it, shortly after her lost to SW in the 2005 Aus semi, lost cause she got tired. Coincidence? I think not. Sharapova won Wimbledon In 04, when she was 17 and more importantly 6'0 tall,she could at least move and change direction better at the time cause she was lighter and smaller, since then she grew to 6'2 and gained a little bit weight, making it harder and more taxing on her stamina, showed fully in 2005 Aus. Meldonium increases oxygen blood platelet production for patients with heart problems, same method can be used as a PED, after that while Sharapova never beat SW again she did .... Never cramped Never acted tired And was fresh as a daisy in final sets no matter how long matches went. After coming back from her ban she started getting tired in 3rd sets and even long 2 setter matches, her final set win ratio before the ban was in the 90% range, after the ban it was only 21% .

She’s low class. Remember the time she insulted Radwanska during a match … during a POINT and shouted “RUN!”? No class. She’s pretty so exercises her pretty white blonde woman privilege. But make no mistake, she panders to Putin and has no respect for the game or her opponents. There should be a documentary on Radwanska. She played with dignity, and was far more petite than genetically advantaged players like Sharapova. She’s just lucky that the sport gives tall women a big advantage.

My role model since a decade, if there was not serena, this princess has gotten double digits slams by now, some girls are enjoying school level tennis matches and victories now, while Sharapova always a super star beside Serena and Venus.
