She’s an incredible talent and you can also appreciate how intelligent she is - her English is nearly perfect and has improved so impressively since she did press for the last Borat movie. She has a long, successful career ahead of her 🌟

It's so nice to hear Americans respecting the Bulgarian pronounciation of her name and not butchering it. It makes me so proud!

@@TubaTones There is something called a sense of belonging to a community.We have legendary footballers and boxers too. Besides in the western countries, there are also many popular Bulgarians in Europe and Russia.We are proud of them.

@@user-mw5hv1lq1e I get that, but what you’re talking about it something much smaller, like the Bulgarian acting community, or the high school Maria went to, or her family etc etc. what you are talking about is national pride. In order for people to be successful (for the most part) they need a strong community around them. Good teachers, good friends, loving family. Those are the people that can be proud of Maria, in my opinion. They had a direct influence and are a direct part of her life. Bogdan from Sliven who has never even met Maria Bakalova, cannot claim to be proud of her. He’s not part of her community. He’s born in the same country, yes, but that is not a skill, a friend, a mentor, family.

Came here because i loved Cosmo in GOTG Vol 3, shes so lovely and I love her accent

She’s charming. It’s weird though; her mannerisms truly remind me of a Bulgarian girl I dated in Texas almost 20 years ago. Almost preternaturally pretty, but very shy, and always looking away and to the ground. Tbh, I’d probably look like this if I was constantly trying to change my thoughts into a different language

When you become fluent in another language, you don't constantly try to translate your thought from your native language. That's not how language acquisition works. You start thinking in your second language and even your body language changes a bit. But it's cool that you give her a credit for speaking another language.

When you see Dana with some yesteryear energy like Spade, I’m talking interview Jimmy Kimmel format now don’t get me wrong they’re great on the Fly on the Wall Podcast and Spade is good in his Netflix special, but with Spade it was pretty dead, but with someone young and actually in their star zone prime energy Dana is great. If he comes back sometime they should have him with prime guests like this and not oldsters just no energy and boring.
