Marella Far East Cruise - VLOG 6 - Singapore Part 2
Our 2nd Singapore VLOG showcases our mid cruise return to the Lion City. We had a day and a half to explore more of what Singapore has to offer and despite having nearly 3 days in total here on this cruise we definitely felt we had so much that we didn't have time to experience. We packed it in during the time we had and we:
- Visited the Merlion statue
- Explored the Cloud Forest and Gardens by the Bay
- Enjoyed delicious food at two Hawker Centres
- Tasted the rich and sweet Singapore coffee
- Shopped till we dropped in Chinatown
- Took the River Bumboat Cruise
- Beers and more beers
- Saw the Supertree lightship
- Climbed Mount Faber
- Took the cable car to Sentosa Island
- Had time on a gorgeous beach
We loved Singapore so much - Hope we can go back some day.

I love Singapore - I lived there as a toddler from 1965 to 1967. My father was serving in the British Army. My parents lived in Holland Park - when I went there last I found the house we lived in. At that time the British army was based on Sentosa - there are some great military sights on the island. I have been back several times - my wife and I are going on Marella far east cruise in March 2025. Looking forward to it. Thanks for your vlog. 😊

It was really evident that there is so much more to see and do than the headline tourist sights. Fun times. Singapore looks amazing. Those juicing machines look fun! Cloud forest is beautiful, that waterfall is massive. Mysore clock vine 😂. That food market looked amazing. Always time for a beer! You're what came out ???****!!!! Just kidding 😂. Lovely boat tour. Ok those super trees are a bit better than Chester! Hat a long day!! Amazing though. Wow you guys are hard core, a hill climb straight after breakfast. Loved the cable car over the ship. That beach was stunning. You definitely need that day at sea! Looking forward to Bangkok already. Thank you for these comments guys… Netty’s “What” Came Out indeed 🤣😂🤣….Gold !!! Of course we were talking about the cooling fan she carries in her bag …..but we all thought it on 1st watch….. At least I didn’t have one of those plants in my rucksack ! Again appreciate your support.
We are hoping to do the cruise so really enjoyed this video. Loved seeing the hawker centre and markets. Looks an incredible place and we loved your clear explanations and advice. Brilliant video thank you for sharing

We've not even started editing Singapore yet! Probably Ho Chi Minh city will be our next one out on Friday and then Malacca. We have no particular order and no real plan, but we need to get a few in the can as we are off on an Ambassador cruise in three weeks.

@CooksExplore it's a weird one. Start at Tilbury, then Honfleur in France, Peter Port in Guernsey then Plymouth before ending up in Bristol and trying to work out how to get home 😂

Hi thanks for watching and a great question too ! We carry rucksacks ashore and take in them - Drink, a map, contact details for the port, brolley, camera tripod, sun tan lotion and any souvenirs that we buy ashore. We are used lugging rucksacks around when we hike in the Uk and feel naked without them. Thanks again.
