When we had to cancel an earlier cruise (Covid) it was these videos that convinced us to try out Explorer and the eastern Mediterranean. We just got back on Friday, and what a great time we had. So again - thank you, both. (Very impressed by your editing skills btw - very nice)

We are just back from a back to back Adriatic Affair/Greek Mystique on Explorer2. We sailed from Dubrovnik but, like you, had a 3am start from home to Bristol Airport where it was unbelievable. A huge jam just to drop us off. We then went into the airport and things really improved. Martin had assisted boarding and they really looked after us. No queuing and we were first on the plane. A good flight to Dubrovnik then on to the ship.

Just back.Lovely ship fab food.

We were on the same ship and itinerary from 6th - 13th May 2022. What excellent vlogs, thank you both for taking the time creating them. We have watched them all and it has been a really nice reminder of an excellent cruise.

@@andyandkirstie I had my suspicions when it was raining on embarkation day and the same ships were in port in Kotor,but the ship seemed a lot busier than your vlogs showed. It was our 3rd and by far the best Marella cruise we have been on.

Hello you two. Wow could not believe you are on Explorer doing the Adriatic as my Wife and I are doing the same cruise in September. We eagerly await your review and are looking forward to seeing your adventure as a prelude to our own trip which we are doing back to back with Aegean shores. Very pleased but surprised to see you on this one as we followed your recent Caribbean visit and you did not mention this one. Have a wonderful time and nice to see the beard back and Kirstie looking really relaxed

No, only two tours. The other days we did our own thing.

The beard is back !!!! Good to see the service on the "boat" is getting back to normal.With all that included booze this is going to be a great series, both Tom and I think so

OH, Another series for us, not that long after you last one..I remember our embarkation day for Marella Discovery back in 2019,and we had a 3am get up in airport hotel, for early flight to Corfu, We did manage to stay up even for the sail away party, I think that was down to our adrenalin kicking in,lol

It wasn't a package as such, but Marella have an included drinks menu across their fleet, with additional cost options as well.

Glad you enjoy the videos! We've never had a 'bad' meal, although if we had something average, then we'd probably just not mention it. That and the fact we're just not that fussy! 😄

We are on the Discovery ship for Christmas 🎄 & the new Yr we are really looking forward to the cruise we've never done Christmas & the new Yr cruise because of work commitments I'm retired now just waiting of my better half retiring early next Yr then happy days we do like marella cruise lines we both can't wait till we join her in December we've done a lot of cruising but mainly marella it will be our first cruise in December our last cruise was in 2019 so we've a lot of catching up to do 😁

Fantastic! We love Marella too. We've not done Christmas but have done New Year's eve on a cruise and it was great fun! Have a great time!

A little jealous - I should have been on Explorer for 2 weeks in 2020, well you can guess how that went. I am however booked on her for 1 week next October '23. Looking forward to that. I will be on my first NCL in just over a day - Epic around the Med - getting excited and will have a Margarita for Andy!

Hi both we've watched these videos over and over we loved them 😁😍👌 so much in fact we've booked this exact cruise in aug 23 😍 it will be our first ever cruise, we've booked a balcony aswell as our youngest daughter 16 is coming with us we haven't upgraded to the premium drinks 🤔 at £80 each 😳 I expect you've been asked thousands of times but any tips for newbies 👍 thanks again both Tony

How did Marella compare to all the other cruises you have done? We are doing Adriatic Affair on Explorer 2 in August. Your videos are great and really informative by the way.

Thanks, glad you enjoy the videos! We love Marella and their itineraries. Great mid-sized ships, excellent crew and all inclusive drinks is a real plus. Awesome speciality restaurants too.

Awesome, have a great time! My big tripod is a Peak Design travel tripod. Walking up to and down from the fort, I had my action camera on an Ulanzi MT-09 mini tripod.

Great stuff Andy. Did you have to take any tests to get on the ship?

Yes, we had to do a test at home and then a further test at the port in Corfu before boarding.

I'd hate to fly out to somewhere like Corfu and then fail a test before embarking and have to come home again... nightmare! I think we will stick to a land-based holiday for this year .... but get our enjoyment from watching you two cruising in the meantime! Thanks.

Flew from Luton. It was busy, but no problems.

Hi there. My wife and I are going to the same cruise in June. We will arrive in Corfu Airport at 11:00a.m. and our departure is only at 11:00p.m. Do you know if we are allowed to leave the bags at the port ready to be delivered to the corridor in front of our room and only embark at night? ( We would like to enjoy a bit of Corfu City prior to embarking. Cheers.

Hi, yes, you'll almost certainly be able to visit Corfu for the day, although I'm pretty certain you'll have to present yourself at the ship/port to check-in and then go back out from there.

How was the on board testing? On line info makes it a bit of an ordeal with regular testing and reporting. Would like to cruise in future without constantly having to do this. Supposed to be a trip of a lifetime but if cruise lines are reintroducing stricter covid protocols then it is going to be a major put off.

On this particular cruise it was fine. Had to a test at home before departure and then tested at the port immediately prior to boarding, that was it. No other protocols in place.

Great videos but Andy lose the beard and show that handsome face!
