Marcus Miller SIRE P5 - BASS GROOVE
Музыка
I've been a jazz bass player for 17 years primarily, a one bass type of guy and it's really cool to finally venture out to a very different tone/style.
I've always wanted to sound 'appropriate' and as a student of many Precision bass players, it's impossible for me to not respect what Rocco/Jamerson have done.
This is a spontaneous jam in Eb. I'm working on my phrasing and my time, hope you enjoy.
Shoutout to George Ganakas from Bass Gear Direct for this Sire P7 again. Such a great service.

Smoking hot 🔥🔥🔥
I’ve had my eye on that exact sire for a while, but you’re making it sound great.
Awesome groove 🎶👍
What a groove ! So funky. Well done ;-)
Very nice ❤️
That was pretty funky
This reminds me a lot of Hey Arnold and that's great! Awesome job :)
Nice playing, good balance between groove and melody
Right in the pocket Man!
Sheesh bro you’re killing
Nice groove man!
Funky!! Are those flatwounds?
Mr. T strikes again 🔥🔥🔥
dayum, son!
nice
Damn!!!
Nice! I feel the same way, having played only Jazz bass + stingray, never even touched a P-bass, I simply go 100% on the Neck pickup on the jazz bass for Jamerson style basslines :p. But I know that eventually I'll probably buy P-bass as well for the iconic tone + style of the flatwound P-Bass

these are rounds actually, and nice! the neck pickup on the jazz will always have that scooped mids that don't really get the whole P experience sadly.

@@TerryRomanio dang, I could have sworn that I heard the sweet muffled sound of flats, but I guess the old cliché of the tones and the fingers is true to some extend. Excellent muting then and a super funky pocket! Did you use anything else to achieve that warm and pleasently farty sound? Tone rolled of quit a bit, I guess?
Great playing brother sounds awesome. 👍 I have always been a jazz bass and stingray guy but lately i have been super impressed with my p5 in mild green.. I haven't been able to put it down. The neck is amazing the hardware is top notch and the tuners are better than what they put on the fender player series. I'm going to throw a albridge bridge( as soon as they are back in stock) on it and a lindy frailin 10%overwind pickup. Also a hipshot drop extender. And it will most likely be my # 1 after I do the upgrages.

Hey that's cool! I find the tuners to go out of tune quite abit, especially during a set. I'll take a look at the Albridge, are they better than the Gotoh?

@@TerryRomanio in my opinion yes . it's not a highmass bridge it's made out of a specialized alloy that allows for allot more resonance than a highmass. While still being super solid and having easy intonation. They are also one of the only company's that makes a direct bolt on bridge for sire. That way you don't have any ugly holes on your bass. Also that's a bummer about your tuners mine have been rock solid.
Funky as hell! So happy to see another version of TR. How low are you finding the string action to be possible on the Sires?
@TerryRomanio

its not too high or too low, I think a lot of it is about the tension and how it responds to my right hand. Thank you!
Stock strings?
SuperBad💯

I just pre-ordered mine yesterday and they told me late Sept or October for me 😬. Now I'm wondering how much longer I'm gonna be waiting if you've been waiting since March 🤔
Are you from Guam?
the funkometer just broke
What are you running through? I can’t past your tone.

@@discobassgroove to be honest the tone is pretty much just from the bass itself, I ran the Atelier Z pre here along with the EBS but now that I don't have them anymore I can still get the same sound. I wouldn't attribute the tone to those two preamps at all for sure. The Sire just kinda sounds like that if you push with a little bit of eq.
