"You can even sound like yourself, if you're brave enough to do that." This should be printed on money. 🤯
I’ve been looking to upgrade from my starter bass for a few months. I loved the high-end Fender sound at my local store. I ended up getting a Sire P8. It’s half the cost and gets 95% of the Fender tone, but with so much more available. The Sire pickups have less noise, the neck plays smoother, the preamp lets you customize the sound however it speaks to you. I love how the tone is consistent across all the strings, and all the way up the neck. Playing it just feels perfect, right out of the box. The gig bag with the P8 is also really well designed. I’m glad I tried the Sire bass. It’s definitely worth the price and more. Highly recommend.
I've had my 1st generation V7 5 since 2016 and love it!!!! I replaced the plastic knobs with metal knobs, had some custom pickup covers made, and replaced the tuning keys. For the money, I don't think there is a bass that can touch it. The sustain is UNREAL and more like a neck through!!! I'm thinking about getting a P7 5 next!!! Sire and Marcus hit a grand slam with this bass!!!

did the exact same on my 1st gen v7 (besides the pickup covers). Considering P5 for the future

@@B0uff0s I recently upgraded the pickups with Bartolini dual-coil Jazz pickups. There is a noticeable improvement in low-end, clarity, punch, and sound like single-coils minus the single-coil hum when soloed!
I ordered one from eBay cuz I couldn't find any available any other location, bought a Sire V7 black, 🤤 I LOVE this instrument!!! So glad I went for it. He's right on the letting the musicians do the advertising, I saw a two piece band here in town playing and he had a 5 string black jazz bass, sounded so so good 👌🏼 afterwards I asked him about his rig and he showed me it's a Sire bass. So since then I had been wanting to upgrade my rig. Again, so glad I spent the money and will be getting a Sire P bass at some point, but I'll be going through Sweetwater sound this time!
What a cool dude. 👍
Awesome interview
Awesome
Mr. Marcus Miller, when you put your name on the Sire bass , I bought 2! Both are the M series, M2, and M7. And if I can get the 3rd, I will. Thanks Marcus. And if you are on the east side, hanging out with Branford, Holler atcha Boy.
M5 and 7 are also great versatile basses
i love marcus miller
Just take forever to come in that’s the only thing I hate still waiting on my V8 want be here until February
How does Marcus like the new larger frets?
I wish sire would make a musicman
The notion that Fender gave Marcus an ultimatum when Sire got big is a bit troubling. The biggest music company in the world, which had a record year during the pandemic, could have easily matched the offer of some cats in Korea. But, decided not to. Well, Fender's loss is Sire and Marcus's gain......!
Is that available in the v8 5 string?
Please don't forget, these are all first hand picked and delivered basses and the one you order might have major or minor issues, sticky knobs up to warped neck's, had a couple of these in my hands over the years, a great shop looks at it's instruments and send's the bad ones back and give the good ones a good setup, any excuse if that's not done is just that, an excuse and meanwhile trying to sell a bad bass where you'll only have problems with. On the other hand there's a ton of great sires out there so when in doubt leave it and wait for a good one and the service of sire is good so that's why I really don't know why shops try to sell the bad stuff, it does the brand no good. Just my honest personal opinion.
Oh he switched from fender after all these years. That explains that sudden mysterious bus accident 😮😢 be careful brother❤
I just wish they use standard bridge. They use that pesky four screws in the corner bridges. It's not compatible with anything in the market.
Lot of pro players playing student basses now.
Sadly they went from $450.00 USD to $ Thousands of Dollars due to Pro’s buying them up!😞😞😞😞
Awesome bass but the only reason I won’t ever get one is because of the ugly ass logo please just use a prettier looking font 😭I know this is picky but pretty logos are apart of the look
