But you knew what happened before you saw the movie. Absolutely fantastic directing and writing to be able to paint someone who had historically become ubiquitous with evil and murder as sympathetic, almost a victim, and almost leave you on the edge of your seat during the trials, as if history was going to be rewritten. Phenomenal. And whoever scored this scene deserves an award. (May have gotten one didn’t check prior)

HACKSAW.
Does anyone remember being young? A little boy or girl in their bed, alone at night calling their parents into their room for fear something unspeakable resided underneath? The ignorance of a young mind believes a monster will look and act like a monster. A monster consumes flesh and fear, and not only lives but strives on it. Yeah. I miss that. But one day, we all grow up, and we learn the monsters were never in our closet, or under our bed. They were far more sinister because they looked just like us. Talked like we talked. Breathed as we breathed. Theodore Robert Bundy is one of, if not the best example of the old principle See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil. A true psychopath, and the embodiment of all that is monstrous. Extremely wicked, shockingly evil, and vile, indeed.

Possibly because it sends off that charming effect of the choir from 'Queen of The Night', nodding to Bundy's charm. The violins remind us of the love story between his wife and daughter, and the music box reminds us of the pure evil that hides underneath.

I think there was something that came out about a brain scan on him, that he was physically incapable of feeling the emotion of empathy. Cuz as far as serial killers go, he’s a bit of an anomaly. Didn’t have a difficult upbringing or a product of abuse, and wasn’t a complete social outcast. His former classmates asserted that he wasn’t as popular or sociable as he thought he was, but still seemingly not a total loner or weirdo. Such an interesting case
