Marcin Patrzałek (born October 6, 2000 in Kielce, Poland) Polish is a fingerstyle guitarist, composer and producer. He began playing classical guitar at the age of 10, under the direction of Jerzy Pikor, a teacher from Kielce. Two years later, he began learning flamenco techniques with Spanish guitarist Carlos Pinana. In 2015, he won the ninth edition of the Must Be the Music program. Only music, and in 2016 he released his debut album entitled Hush. In the same year he became a finalist of the International Fingerstyle Guitar Master Competition, and the following year he won first prize at the Joaquín Rodrigo International Classical Guitar Competition. In 2018, he won the fifth edition of the Italian program Tu Si Que Vales. On November 12, 2018, he released an EP entitled revAMP, containing his most popular arrangements. Previously, he released his own single "Baba Yaga". In 2019, he entered the 14th edition of America's Got Talent, in which he reached the semi-finals. In 2020, he signed a contract with Sony Music. 17 year old Marcin arranged & performed "Master of Puppets" by Metallica. Marcin uses the innovative technique of "percussion fingerstyle", which is why he chose the flagship Ibanez AE900-NT guitar from the AE and Thermo Aged™ AVD80-NT series equipped with a K&K Trinity Pro pickup, which allows him to combine extensive percussion elements with standard guitar playing. I grew up with a father that was an instrumentalist so I know excellent skills when I first seen his audition on AGT. I've been following Marcin for some time now. He's amazing. He started out as a boy laarning classical guitar, then when he found it a bit restricting, turned to flamenco, and then added the other techniques, and now combines them all together. There is a video of him being interviewed in which he explains how he does it. That trick with using the tuning peg is heard sometimes in blue grass music.

From what I read he’s 20 years old and started to play at the age of ten, taking flamenco lessons which would explain the percussion techniques. I don’t think there is anything he plays that hasn’t been done before, but it’s his ability to compose the song with different sounds and fretboard work. He has amazing hammers and pull offs using just his fret hand, especially on an acoustic instrument. A bit dramatic at times but then it fits the music and emphasizes the performance. Nice one for whoever recommended it!!

Very well done. Marcin is a prodigy....started at age ten and is about 23 years old...Check out the AGT audition at age 18. Though he made it to the live shows, which was very important exposure, he did not even make the final...Go figure. I can't

I've watched at least 10 reviews on Marcin, excellence analysis on technique - you nailed it. At first thought he was triggering a drum machine and click track only to find out in this interview vid > 'How Marcin breaks the internet (and his nails) with his guitar' 'Marcin Patrzalek Interview | Ibanez MRC10-NT signature | Percussive Guitar Tutorial | Thomann' vid > 'Fishman PowerTap Pickup Performance and Interview with Marcin Patrzalek at Winter NAMM 2020'< Needles to say the guitar has an incredible action, the strings are so low - reminds me of an electric.

Hi mate. I've been following Marcin from his 18th when he participated in America got a talent , now he's 26 I think. I agree with people in two facts : we all live on Marcin's planet talking about guitar playing and Marcin doesn't need a guitar. Guitar needs Marcin. It was pleasant to share your sincere emotions because the magic he makes is multiplied while more of us listen his music. I recommend you to subscribe on his channel and also listen everything you can find from him on KZread. You surely won't regret.

None of the techniques Marcin uses is of itself unusual, what is less usual that we find a young man that has in a ten year period learned classical and flamenco and then put these techniques on to a steel string instrument.About every two hundred yrears someone appears who takes the playing of a specific instrument to a new level of competence,Paganini was one of those,Marcin is another.....................................................
