It's a beautiful piece, but his playing removes some of the musicality and makes it a bit more of a novelty. Not to mention he changed melodic/harmonic structure for the worse. In my opinion.

@@WOGDOR We can agree to disagree. I find the original much more interesting, and a less gimmicky. He's an amazing talent, but I wonder at some point if he'll grow out of this shallow, flashy style. It's the kind of music I watch to be impressed, but I would never come back to it to hear a story that draws me in and consumes my emotions (the way the original did, in this case). Just my opinion, obviously many people really like his music.

Since his first audition in AGT I've watched all his performances many many times over and over again and I never get tired. Marcin is out of this world!!!

My father was a damn good musician, spent years learning and practicing flamenco, even played for live performing flamenco dancers, and I used to hear him practicing this song, night after night, year after year when I was going to sleep... He inspired me to pick up the instrument and I've been playing for more than 30 years. Then I see this magnificent, amazing performance by a brilliantly talented musician, not knowing or really considering his age until the end... This is mastery of precision, technique, and style at a level most can never achieve, and all this by age 16 is stunning, impressive, and entertaining. I was more stunned to see 84 dislikes. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, sure, but wtf is wrong with people. Ending, schmending, scratching, smatching... Those who cannot do, become critics. Marcin, ignore the haters, do your thing, and please give us more...

El rasgueo, do you know it? And another thing, you can't learn flamenco, no one teach it. Like fado. You feel it. Super tecnique, but he miss the point. And sorry man but after listen Paco, Tomatito and a lot of unkonwn gitanos I know why I feel that the guy miss the point. Buika is flamenco, this guy it's an impressive guitar player.

This is the only time I have tears in my eyes when someone plays the guitar, Marcin is a genius.

Asturias is a beautiful piece, I’m amazed at every guitarist who masters it! I play the guitar as well and I was even more stunned when I saw he was 16 when playing this!! His interpretation will always be iconic, thank you so much for it Marcin!! ❤

I recently heard this master play on America's Got Talent. I understand why. He needs more exposure. That is an excellent platform for that purpose. He said he is beginning school in the U.S. One of the judges said something about he ought to be teaching them. He did not say where he is going to school. Julliard perhaps? What are they going to teach him? How to conform? How to do things properly? He is probably better than the best guitar teacher they have. I have maybe heard only two or three who are better and those are masters at the peak of a long career and at least one is dead. If he tries to go to school he will likely be ruined and then we will never hear from him again. Best he just go on tour and make albums and let the world hear his music in it's pure unadulterated un"educated" form. I would gladly pay to hear him live. Perhaps Julliard's guitar professor can open for him. I will be buying every album he makes. They will be right next to my collection of recordings of Segovia
