I noticed the nails right off and thought, “oh, wow, he not only has 5 guitar picks now but has extended his reach and they have their own percussive sound!” This young man IS the music, he feels it throughout and expresses it in so many ways. The way his mind works is just as fascinating as his guitar playing. Innovation and creativity is the mark of a true master. He's a great teacher too! Very interesting video.
He belongs to a new generation of young guitar players like Nito, Henson, and Mancuso who are not only extraordinarily skilled, but who are inventing new ways of playing the instrument, expanding its tonal and rhythmic possibilities, and blending different genres of classical-academic and popular music, acoustic, electronic and digital, together seamlessly.

True. I think the short form just makes a bad impression for some folks, particularly older generations - like me. Or folks who generally think 'less is more' - again like me. I wasn't convinced by most of the stuff recommended to me about him so far, and he seemed cocky, showing off too much and overly expressive. But today I watched 2 interviews and I'm impressed by what he does live, how much joy he has from teaching. Still showing off a bit to the point of smiling, but he must also be having good fun and be happy things turn out sounding great. Plus some good sense of humor on top and I'm sold. Especially after seeing some 7y old video from his school where he played classical / flamenco, so he clearly knows what he's doing and it's not just shredding for show hiding lack of skills. I'd still want to listen sth calmer from him, with fewer notes, but that wouldn't sell as well probably. Maybe once he gets older and/or gets a baby he'll learn there's value out there value in silence / breaks ;)
He’s so fast, with his entire arms, he looks like he’s in x3 speed istg. Absolutely incredible guitarist
