Not mentioning it doesn't mean they don't pick it up. It's like... the least impressive part of what he's doing. Memorizing a song in another language is not very hard. It's not remotely comparable to actually speaking the language. It can be done in under an hour.

@@vinchinzo594 Yet so many foreign singers cannot sing English songs in anything near a correct accent (like Dimash), unlike Marcelito and other Filipinos who don't speak English well but sing idiomatically.

Oh God!!!! I d0n't know how many times I've watch Marcelito sing and watch every reactions and still, everytime I hear him sing I can't help but have goose bumps, chills and get emotional, That's how good he is, I don't know if you've heard him sing Despacito, gosh! That was awesome and The power of love, He also had a recording "Duet himself" Boy! It's good He even do harmonys', Thou' it's a recording, but it's awesome especially when he switches and combine those voices in perfect harmony, heavens! This guy is amazing.

He has never had any vocal training! He was homeless in the streets of the Phillipines from 2 years old until around 16 years old - he was looking for his family. He can sing in 7 languages (neither his own language) but he cannot carry out a conversation in those languages. It is totally amazing! Neither the English or Italian language is native to Marcelito. He is Filipino. He's singing in a feminine voice, who is probably not singing in her native language. English is his 3rd language because even though he is filipino he is from the Visayas region and Filipino / Tagalog is his 2nd language. Bisaya being 1.

The things and feeling you feel is same as me when I first heared him singing this song. Marcelito is one of our great singer here in the Philippines who won grand prize winner in The PGT or Pilipinas Got Talent

Further, if you believe in this Judeo/Christian myth, why does this capricious "God" give talent to some and not others? Why do Buddhists, Hindus, Muslims, Wicka and even Atheists have talent while many extremely devout Christians miss out? Don't trot out the usual old Christian line that is produced when their belief is challenged and they can't answer, "The Lord moves in mysterious ways.". The best and worst on the planet is human, there is no "God" involved but if there was that entity is not worth supporting given all the mess they have delivered within their "creation". Christians want to praise "God" given talent and glory in the sunsets and butterflies, while conveniently ignoring viruses, bacteria, disease, natural disasters etc and seem to forget the billions of prayers that go unanswered when they want to praise "God" for answering one. (experiencing this for the first time is special, and we can't do it a second time ourselves :-( thus watch others hearing it for the first time) btw: he doesn't speak any italian, and at that time also english not very well, and yet he did both parts fantastically, and (as some italians commented) almost flawless. ps: since you liked this, you should also react to more wishbus performances ... Angelina Jordan ! going backwards in time ... at age 9 "i put a spell on you", "all performances of norways got talent" which she won at age 7/8, "i who have nothing" was her first time in a studio at age 6, and 100++ more songs on youtube. just for fun also her "worst performance" when she sang Whitney Houston in a family video at one and a half years (but who starts singing Whitney songs before being 2 full years of age ? :-)

At this time he spoke no English nor Italian. He had no idea what he was singing. He was homeless from age 7, until age 24. He learned songs by listening to them over and over and copying what they did. He literally sung for his food. He won Philippines Got Talent with this song and was homeless no more. Amazing isn't it

There is a wedding video where he sings "Perfect" in Italian. Also on AGT he did a quicky version on "Time to Say Goodbye." He has also got an appearance on Ellen. With a translator as he spoke only limited English.

be aware that all those american shows require songs to be cut down to some specific time to allow for enough commercial breaks. and shows like AGT also often manipulate performances and twist and turn backstory and what is shown, even copying scenes from the finals and pasting them to the semifinals (both recorded half a year earlier) and then suggesting that it might be live. the producers make a small list of songs to select from, and Simon is an executive producer of the show, and yet he said that he was surprised by the bad choice of songs that Marcelito did. Therefore i avoid to watch these shows or performances from these shows if a song is available somewhere in a longer/original version (which is the case with the wishbus "prayer", but apparently not for "con te partiro / time to say goodbye"). privately watch the "less than 2 minute AGT version" of the prayer to see what they have done to the song.

I thoroughly enjoyed watching your brain trying to load. 😆 Not only was Marcelito switching back and forth between English and Italian, but being Filipino, neither of those is his native tongue. An otherworldly performance.
