Rami Maleks singing voice wasn't actually used in the film, he sang to make it look authentic while performing but they never used his singing voice in the audio of the film. Marc was the only singer used to help recreate Freddie's voice.

You don't go to a Queen concert to hear the songs sung differently with an interpretation of the classics do you. Nothing disrespectful by having Marc in Queen singing the classics. I just hope John and Brian see sense and do a tour one final time before they get too old.

Happy New Year , as I salid, I insist with Marc, Queen could make New music with the Queen sound.

In the very beginning Marc is using his more natural voice. Which still isn't TOO far off from Freddie's. But he doesn't actually kick into the full Freddie voice until "I'm just a poor boy". By the way, I highly recommend Marc's version of Don't Stop Me Now. Again, sounds exactly like Freddie, but the video is fun and colorful. Also you should check out some his acoustic stuff. His version of Final Countdown and Freedom are both on point.

@@ugadawgs1990 May I ask where do you get that 1% from? That might be true among Martel fans, but apart from that, Adam is loved and hugely succesfull as Queen frontman. Especially those regard him very highly who have seen him live with Queen, he is famous of winning all the sceptics over too, so my comment was an honest advice

Does this make knew fans appreciate what an amazing voice Freddie Mercury had and why Queen were so amazing? Compared to today's artists?

To me and it is just my opinion Adam and Marc are great artists in their own right. Very different styles but yet about the same man,....Freddie. Adam has the flamboyant style of Freddie when on stage....the showman. But Marc has the more serious and committed to making the song sound great style as Freddie would do in the studio. Freddie was very picky about the way the songs should sound. So to me we either choose one or the other...that simple. For me the one that moves me is Marc.

He's not touring with Queen because they would never tarnish Freddie's legacy with an imitator. Imitators are great in tribute bands, but not with two living legends.

@@kot1964 I've heard it. Maybe you should go take another listen and compare what he sounded like before as opposed to now. There was always a similarity, but he has tweeted his voice in ways to make himself sound even more like Freddie. He never had a raspy quality to his voice, but one of his fans admitted he adds it when singing Queen. because Freddie had it. Among other things, he said he has to make faces to produce sounds similar to Freddie. Watch the exaggerated faces he makes when singing Queen. Not an impersonator, but definitely an imitator.

@@sasha07775 maybe you're right, he's doing some techniques with the lips and nasal, but still, his voice, his natural way of interpretation, his humbleness, his gorgeous face. He still way better than Lambert. Lambert belongs to N*Sync. Say, I saw Lambert first. He did a meh interpretation of BoRhap, waaaay to flamboyant. Then I saw this guy and automatically became a fan of his voice.

They didn't want a carbon copy, but rather someone who would shine a new light on the songs. Lambert is more of the showman which fits the Queen stage MO, but like you, I'd rather have Marc any day of the week and the light Lambert shines on the songs I could well do without.....I'd rather close my eyes and see Fred.

Mark is such a nice guy, im glad he could be a part of the movie. The band took Adam because they didn't want a soundalike, it would be weird and kinda disrespectful towards Freddie, Mark is doing well with his Coverband :)

My question is, why, if they didn't want a sound alike, would they choose someone with the same camp, sexuality, bawdy behavior, flamboyance and crazy wardrobe? Martel is a true musician who had 12 albums before ever singing Queen. He plays guitar and piano equally well, and actually writes his own music. Lambert sings Karaoke and other peoples songs. At least Paul Rodgers was an accomplished musician, Lambert...nope.

Marc Martel Fans I’ve been a huge fan of your channel for so long and I even think Marc should get a shot at lead vocals. I’m not a big fan of Adam but I can definitely respect what he brings to the band. He brings his own style and flair to the songs. (They may not be the best but some are phenomenal). He’s in no way trying to copy Freddie style or flamboyance. That’s just who he is and Queen chose the right person in that aspect. I feel like Queen will give Marc a shot soon enough.

Actually Marc toured with the Queen extravaganza long before Adam Lambert. However Marc didn't want to act like someone he is not, so he travels with his own Queen tribute band called the Queen Celebration. They sound more like Queen but with their own style.

By the way, Marc made a video that he talked about his voice and how he managed to sound like Freddie. Marc said that he is just born with that voice and look similar to the legend Freddie Mecury by his parents which was a little funny joke in there but everybody says that he looks like and sounds like Freddie Mecury and he gets that all the time. He also auditioned for the Queen Extravaganza and he won the auditon when he had to sing Somebody to love, Crazy little thing called love (which is a original by Elvis Presley), and I think it was Under pressure and now he performs on stage, all around the world but to put all of that aside he also doesn't have a youtube channel...he actually makes music too he made an album called "Thunder and Lightning". You should check his music out ☺☺ and not accusing my opinion but he is a really good singer himself though. Sorry for all of this 😂 but I am actually a Subscriber to him and I am actually a Queen fan so I know everything about Queen's lead singer.

Reaction to his George Michael Freedom would be cool, although I suspect you've already seen it since you visited his page.

Adam is a great singer but with him, Queen sounds diferent, with Marc it could be almost the original sound, Queen should contract him, like Journey did with Arnel Pineda.

@@papabearM3 I seriously have thought the same thing. When Marc opened his mouth to sing, all eyes would be on him. It would be like the old days in the fact that the lead singer was central instead of people going to see the guys in the band. I think they love the change that people are going to see them for once and the lead singer is an afterthought for most. I'm not trying to put down anyone here, just stating what I feel is fact. That voice in itself is enough to bring the flood of memories, the good feelings, and then I mean, sorry but unless you've been to one of Marc's shows, you don't know what you're saying. It's not boring by any means. I never sat down the entire time! He doesn't need insane props and tons of makeup to get his message across. I appreciate every single second I spent in that theatre!
