Marc Martel definitely alters his voice to sound like Freddie. He even implied that in this interview. His natural voice is a lot like Freddie’s, but he purposely takes it to the next level

Jessie James Butawan i agree, in part. i think Marc is diplomatic, but the OTHER reason is: He's a straight, Christian Republican. Lambert is a gay Flamboyant (Dem/Liberal?) who is more "Freddie" in spirit/embodied. In other words, Adam worked with Ryan Murphy on glee, who did AHS, a show that just wrapped it's 8th season by featuring "Anton Lavey" as a (murdering) Satanist...

Yet they chose an amateur like singer by the name of Adam Lambert (drag Queen) to keep Brian May the big star of the group. Yet there is a singer by the name of Marc Martel who sings like Freddy and who is ignored by Brian May and Roger Tayler because they will lose their identity and they are easy to replace.

I posted a similar quote that I would not be shocked if they are related. Marc needs to check on Ancestry. I believe they are related perhaps thru a great great- grandmother or grandfather.Some where they are connected by lineage. Also to have talent like that, it can be passed on to other generations in the family and to have similar facial features does indicate they are related.

I saw an add for Qeen band, saw It was Lambert but after listening to their tracks I was more then disappointed...if you can't do it better (or same as the original) don't even try. Marc is as close to perfect as you can get. And I feel hopefull and happy that the world still has someone who can sound like Freddie. Freddie was a perfect package - extravagant, flamboyant - a true artist and performer. You can't have it all, but Marc is amazing as has to be recognised! Wish he would come with the band somewhere close to where I am in the corner of the world...

@Jeanette Kejling I agree! He has no charisma on stage. He sings for himself only - never relates to the audience. He's good for lounge acts, but not on a stadium of 80,000 audience. Adam is the best choice for Queen. His vocal range is out of this world, can't say that with MM.

Well freddie was straight before realizing he was bi, marc was born in 1976, queen became famous in 74 after killer queen and toured america for the first time, 75 toured American again and also churned out bohemian rhapsody,think he toured america again in 76, freddie realized he was bi in 1977 but still saw men and women while touring before that "allegedly" and especially after marry left him. So your theory makes a lot of sense.

All natural I met him he's really tall, and in person he doesn't look that much like him. It's more persona on stage mannerisms and voice. It is just coincidence in looks. It is the voice that visually enhances everything else. Really nice guy.

And the Martel/Lambert debate rages on. Ok let's look at the facts. Adam Lambert was selected by Roger Taylor and Brian May to tour with Queen. He's not replacing Freddie. He is honouring him. Mark Martel was selected by Roger and Brian to lead the official Queen tribute band. He sounds exactly like Freddie so is paying tribute to him in as faithful a way possible without dressing as him. Roger and Brian are smart businessmen. They have made their decision. Move on.

Considering all the negativity in your comment, you might want to practice what you preach and focus on positivity, love and yes, wisdom yourself.

Why is there any discussion about Marc, Adam, or Freddie's sexuality? What does it have to do with their talent? Why would a movie producer waste that much money (you do know that recording process is super expensive, don’t you?) if they weren’t going to use the recordings at all?
