Jacob Loeb it’s how I can tell who is singing too. Freddie’s voice has more rasp. On the extracts it’s slight but if you hear the rock parts like the end of Bohemian Rhapsody it’s really obvious.

FREDDIE's voice was unmatched ... Voice more deep, vibrating (he had a quick vibrato in his voice), metallic and fierce than Martel's. In addition, the songs sung by Freddie were recorded in the 80s ... the quality of SOUND is greatly lost. Imagine Freddie singing today ???? It would be even better ...

You can tell when it's freddie because the Freddie voices are cut from recorded tracks and Marc's are with only piano.

SigmaTV They're using studio versions for both singers, so your point is irrelevant. Besides, even if it were only studio versions of Freddie but live versions of Marcs, how exactly would that have made a difference either?

The thing is, Freddie added so much more rasp to his higher notes, while Marc softens up to get more breathy. You can also tell on the raw power of Freddie's voice

Exactly. Listen to Marc now! He explained in an interview that when he started to sing Queen’s music instead of singing his own original stuff with his old band, he’d unlocked a part of his voice he’d never even knew he had and started training it. You should hear his shows in Germany from this month! It’s spine chilling how much his voice literally grew up! He sounds almost exactly like Freddie now and has fully embraced his voice

Marc Martel is a great singer but he doesn’t sound that much like Freddie( only on certain words but not that much)

Freddie's voice has a quality that nobody can perfect. His voice was something that was unique.

That wasn't too hard. Marc honours the spirit of Freddie with his covers but the two voices are pretty distinct.

This is easy....Freddie has the most distinct voice it’s like telling Bowie from Elton John you just know

Nobody sounds exactly like anyone we are all unique.

Marc Martel is very close but there's something missing ...and I think it's the fact that Freddie had a mixed Baritone included with his higher vocals that created a resonance and power that just isn't there. Don't get me wrong...Marc is a great singer ...but that difference is definitely there.

Ho Socks the rasp is called subharmonics. It’s one of the hardest things you can learn vocally and Marc is actually perfecting them now! You should listen to Marc’s performances in Germany from this month! It’s insane how much his voice has changed since 2018

Even tho' most people can tell the difference, a lot of people can't! Freddie had divine sounding tone, incredible range and passion when he sang. If not compared side by side it can be pretty difficult to spot the difference for some. Freddie was the greatest rock vocalist ever lived and unique performer and Marc's sound is closest to it in the known universe.

Both have a great voice but Freddie's voice has more energy. I love both of them ❤❤❤

imo Marc Martel clearly has a great voice but sounds more polished/broadway or something idk. Freddie just has an amazing vibrato and roughness and passion to his voice that I don’t think is possible in anyone else. It was unique.

I could define which one of them, I knew who was who! Marc is remarkable singer with the same pitch and melodic voice, but clearer and softer, the rasp in Freddie is that makes the difference! Love it!

All of them :) Marc has a beautiful voice but Freddie had a unique voice that will always be his and missed x

In killer queen i could already tell who it is by the snapping. Because i just watched Marc's version before this

Freddie generally has a thinner/cutting voice, even when he reaches falsettos or softer tones. Marc’s has more body. Freddie was born for rock. Marc is a great singer.
