I love Roger’s backing vocals in “Somebody To Love.” Especially during the finale, when he is using his tongue, in and out, to create that fullness of sound, behind Freddie. It cracks me up, when Roger rears back and spits, up in the air. After seeing that, I learned that singers do that because they don’t have time to swallow and breathe before singing their next part. You can see that in a video entitled Roger Taylor Best Moments at Queen Rock, in Montreaux, 1981. He is wearing a black Guess shirt and a light colored bandana, John in all blue, turquoise, Brian in a flowy white shirt, black vest. It is one of Freddie’s best performances of STL, also.
