Freddie Mercury didn’t sing the high falsetto in original... those parts were done by drummer Roger Taylor.

He hit every note he set off to hit. So, not sure what you are referring to when you say he “didn’t hit some note.” If you mean the Bb5 at the end of the operatic section was sung by Roger Taylor and never by Freddie. More so, Freddie had never sung BoRhap in its entirety. So, you can’t say that Marc hasnt reached Freddie when singing this song. There is no precedent established by Freddie to reach. If you truly want to hear something wonderful from Marc, there are myriads of songs he wrote and covered to choose from on the KZread. I suggest Killer Queen cover or any of his 90s covers or his own songs off of his Impersonator album.

Sorry guys. What you saw doesn't exist in the world. Its a unicorn. Freddie NEVER performed the entire song by himself. I saw Queen on the Day at the Races tour and the entire band walked off stage (during the operatic section) and it was covered by the video. Even when the song was recorded it was done in sections. What Marc has done here is unbelievable. The stones it took to record this and release it are tremendous. He hits ALL of Freddie's parts and not those of the other 2 member who actually sang. Too not be completely blown away by this accomplishment leaves me wondering about your credibility but you are entitled to your opinion. Good luck.

He wasn’t changing notes, he was singing Freddie’s harmonies. Add other voices and it wouldn’t sound different

Marc Martel actually used to be the vocalist for Queen’s official cover band, The Queen Experience

10:25 - For a moment, I thought you were referring to Freddie changing songs around when he sang them live, which is something he was very well known for. It's been termed "dodging." Freddie dodged the high notes in his songs at almost every concert. Only a couple times did he even attempt some of the high notes which were in the studio recordings. Also, in the studio, LOTS of the high notes were not sung by Freddie at all, but by Roger Taylor. If you want to hear the "once in a generation" singer at his best, search for "Freddie Mercury vocal fails," here on KZread. Marc, in concert night after night, NAILS notes Freddie could never, or almost never, hit live.

You do realize that Marc preformed the majority of Freddy in the movie? He was selected by Roger Taylor and Brian May for their official tribute band.

Hmmm, you know Marc was featured voice wise in the Bohemian Rhapsody movie? They didn't ask anyone else to sing for Freddie's part. He's not trying to be Freddie. He's honoring him. I like "Killer Queen" by Marc. Good example of his skills

thumbs down for the nonreaction and quite ridiculous comments, I already left my double thumbs up at official Marc's rendition of BR. I usually do not criticize easily, but this was the bottom of all reactions for this rendition. Like somebody already stated before, they have no clue. I suggest taking part in one of the old SNL skits requiring ability to move heads in unison

If you mean he didn't sing the high note Roger Taylor always sang, then no , not wonky just taking Freddie's part, not Roger's . He has sung Roger's part many times live in concert however.

I think his likeness with Freddie is playing against him a little here. At times he sounds so like him you immediately notice when he doesn't (even if it's an artistic choice) and want it back. It's hard to listen to it on its own without a comparison (well, at least for me, I'm a sucker for Freddie). I don't think Marc ever preformed with Queen though. Buuut, you should totally check out their stuff with Adam. It's so much fun to watch, Brian and Roger are still amazing and Adam is actually a great singer and a showman.

You are both all the way wrong. He is the closest you will ever be to the original. He is so close that he is the face of the tribute band and worked on the Queen movie for most of the songs. There you go. I think any musicians would agree that he is the shit.
