He’s Australian ….the biggest insult you could call any Kiwi!! 😂😂😂
Australia would have loved to claim Jonah Lomu as our own, but we were too busy nursing our bruises as New Zealand romped home with him on the wing
Lomu was 1.96m and 120kg. The most impressive part is he ran 100 metres in 10.8 seconds. The people he comes up against in this video are all international players. Nobody was bad, he was just insane. The sport with the helmets and padding is American football or NFL. This sport is rugby. I won’t go over the differences because there’s too many.

Very true about the differences but it's worth pointing out that soccer (aka Association Football), Rugby Football (both League and Union varieties), and American Football all come from the same roots. They just took different rules. Rugby allowed players to pick the ball up. NFL allowed passing forwards and tackling players without the ball. That's the main differences, for the casual viewer (scrums, rucks, line-outs are just details of how some set plays are done in Rugby). And yes. Exactly. He played at international level against the best players in the world, in some of those videos. In soccer terms, it's be like having to face Maradonna (or Michael Jordan in Basketball). There was just simply nobody as good as maradonna: nobody who could compete, and if he got the ball in space, then you are going to be in BIG trouble, whether you're a local league team or in the semi-final of a world cup. And I say that as an English dude who never forgave "the hand of God". That's what made it so awful, to me: Maradonna had no need to cheat. He could have beaten England fair and square, but cheated and then boasted about cheating. To a Brit, that's like blasphemy. Whereas Lomu was a gentleman. Greatest of his generation beyond doubt. Probably the best of all time. But also honourable and a sportsman. We'll not see his like again in my lifetime. I hope one day, though!
Its rare i say this but he was/is Royalty. A top top top class athlete, legends never die. RIP

A legend.Freared,respected and revered by all.Sorely missed.😪
He was a Giant with speed and power. ❤❤
6ft 5. 280lb and can run sub 11. Nothing is stopping him!
In Rugby the try scorer is only as good as the players around him, but in rugby there is also individual brilliance creating try's from nothing. New Zealand just happens to have an endless supply of brilliant players, must be in the water.

It's in our culture. We have our boys and girls learning rugby and competing since they're toddlers. But Polynesians just have that natural strength and power. Train them and they're brutal. It'll be hard to replace Lomu though, pure legend.

We miss Jonah, what a legend and absolutely the nicest person you will ever meet... He was known all around the world and was an awesome ambassador for New Zealand ... Gone far too young .... RIP big guy ❤🙏
Jonah Lomu is Tongan by birth but was born n raised in New Zealand so ended up playing his entire international career for the NZ All Blacks

He is not from Australia. He was born in New Zealand of Tongan origin. He plays for the New Zealand All Blacks.
Is New Zealand sounding like Australia. Mm maybe it does. But no he is from New Zealand I think they mention it now and again and he's playing in the worlds winingest team in the history of sport.
Lomu played for New Zealand All Blacks NOT Australia
Jonah was an absolute legend and the nicest guy you'll ever meet.... Check out the Rugby World Cup starting on September 8th 2023... The opening game is New Zealand All Blacks v France the host country.
The lady, "Is he so good or others not so good," The clue is the clips are from the WORLD CUP. In the World Cup the countries pick who they think are the best players not some average player. So the players are good but he was great.
They literally say in the vid where he came from and what country he was playing for 😂😂
The only rule is that you can’t tackle someone over the shoulders or someone that is in the air catching a ball. You have to wait until they’re on the ground. When you have the ball you can do whatever you want to the opposition pretty much. I guess you just can’t elbow the opposition in the face.
He was tall, fast, nibble and strong.
He's not Australian, He's Polynesian
He's from New Zealand bro, New Zealand all blacks not Australia, there called wallabies and wear yellow
Please watch his funeral its the best example of New Zealand culture.
He played for the all blacks which is New Zealand
Lol... the commentators literally said NEW ZEALAND three or four times.....
You can’t attack the opponents head or neck and you can’t tackle them if they are jumping in the air to catch the ball. So you to wait until they have landed then tackle them with your arm so you can’t charge in and hit them with your shoulder only you must use your arms.
Born and raised in Auckland, New Zealand. He is of Tongan decent.
New Zealand bro.
He was to good when he played and teams had to change the way they played. Look up a good tutorial video to get a better understanding of the game
do more rugby reaction guys, there are vids on the rules of rugby on youtube lomu is from new zaeland.
You can't have listened very well, throughout the whole game the commentators said half a dozen times he's the best player New Zealand (Aotearoa) has ever had. Australia and New Zealand are two different countries.
All Blacks are New Zealand not Australia
How to get on bad side of a country, call a new Zealander a Australian 😮
lol learn your colors New Zealand (also know as All Blacks) Black/white, South Africa (Springboks) green/gold, England (Lions) white/red, Aussie (Wallabies) Gold/green, France (wankers) blue/white, Argentina (Puma's) light blue/white, these are you top nations rugby teams (usually).
There was only one. He is not Australian…
He's in the conve & had he not had to have kidney transplant they'd be no doubt.
It's absolutely the top ten of Lomu's tries 😂😂 just have a look of some video tributes and you'll understand why was the best rygby player ever ! Sorry for my "frenchglish" !
He is from New Zealand, Plays for the All Blacks and he is New Zealander Tongan! Do your research properly mate that's an insult. Australians wear Yollow. Dont guess lol
If you listen to the commentators, they talk about his team, the All Blacks - NEW ZEALAND , many times, and you keep saying he’s Australian. Sheeeesh…

Bro!!! Got me soo frustrated, I guess that's why they say listening is a skill
Brother and sister, do your homework before you put clips on KZread. The commentators were even saying he is from New Zealand and your listening skills were letting you both down. Thankyou for the clips though. Sadly he was taken away so early. RIP Jonah

@@tokoforlyfe2384 that doesn’t change the fact that he never managed to score a try against SA. As for others scoring the tries…. The ABs have never had issues scoring against SA, they really didn’t need him to cause a distraction. Anyways, that doesn’t make him any less of a legend.

@@ktm690endurorally it doesn´t change the fact of not scoring but your statément is to be corrected “he was not impossible to stop”. No team ever find a way to neutralize nor stop Jonah Lomu. Not even the springboks.

@@tokoforlyfe2384 if he gets tackled while running…. Then his run was stopped, he was stopped…. Hence me saying he wasn’t impossible to stop. Other teams allowed him to run over them, around them and score tries. Not the Boks. Not sure where your confusion comes in.
These aren't even his best highlights, was a weapon on attack
Jonah unfortunately played Rugby Union which happens to be a haven of mostly ordinary footballers of which many think a tackle is fishing gear . He can never be rated a "great" because he never was opposed by great, any NFL or NRL defender worth his salt would attack him in defence with no fear however he only competed against private school boys so his qualifications will always be in question.
Do research first on Jonah he is the jordan of rugby you both sound very silly and unprofessional to us rugby fans!
You can't call him a Maraadona.. Lomu never cheated.
Do some research.he played for New Zealand. FFS, bloody insulting, calling him Australian
