A little over a week ago, The Mandalorian Season 3 trailer was released and I thought it would be fun to craft two of the new Mandalorians featured in that trailer. I used 1:12 scale Boba Fett and Mando models from Bandai as the base for the conversions. I gave the figures custom paint jobs and positioned them on a scratch built platform.
I’m looking forward to The Mandalorian Season 3 and hoping for some good moments to craft in miniature form!

I think that the silver primer coat which allows you to scrape the later paint layers off is a fantastic technique. I also really dig how you used some of the sprues in the diorama. Quick and effective. This looks great! p.s. Do you ever sleep...? If not, try it. It's fun. : )

From what little I know about Mandolorian factions, in the time period this is set in, most armor colors are more a personal reflection/expression of the individual Mando than any faction allegiance, strictly speaking. Great models by the way. Absolutely love Mandalorians in general.

The Jetpack creating so much smoke could easily be explained by saying there's some kind of particulate in the air that is paticularly flammable or some such. It doesn't matter in the slightest, because this is such a cool diorama

I love these, maybe you could do the k2so droids going through the remnants of mandalore shooting survivors, but just have them walking around with a bunch of mando helmets laying around for youtube guidelines safety.

It's great how you used a white light filament with yellow painted smoke that creates a more complex gradient of flame colors. So naturalistically intricate, yet simply done. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

I imagine the yellow Mandalorian's jet pack is just like any other in the galaxy that don't emit much smoke. He's comes from a rural part of the planet and that's how he rolls coal.

It's been a while since I built one of those Bandai figures.. the idea to make a custom Mando had crossed my mind. Might be time to pull my unbuilt kits from my pile of shame and take another crack at them.

The reason, at least in the original SWEU, it was traditional to wear a piece of armor from a fallen member of their clan, more specifically a member of their family. Not all did this, but a lot did, and this could be the reason behind it in the show.
