No outstanding performances that could threaten the last starting 11 although in fairness, they haven't played together before and clearly it was an experiment. I really hope Ralf gets the best out of the players and the whole squad ups there game for him. One thing is better now are the manager interviews, he's great to listen to.

They’ve never played together before is an excuse. They know each other well enough during training. It’s just that they might be nervous to play at home infront of fans. They should’ve stepped up though, it’s their chance to shine and everyone of them blew it.

Apart from the error for the goal, I felt Van der beek had a pretty good game. Baily was pretty good too sad to see them not getting mentions. I hope to see them both more regularly in the starting eleven.

For sure AWB won't be claiming an automatic spot now after that woeful performance. Hell, even Mengi is better than him on the opposite flank. No idea what happened to AWB but he's regressed so much. His first season at the club was great so now we know how bad the coaching was under Ole. I won't be surprised if Ralf gives AWB a personal training plan to improve all his basics, especially positioning and passing

Why even Mengi? Mengi is a top talent at centre back, made CL debute at left back and he is right footed. Mengi played great I think very unfair to compare to AWB.

Mengi looks solid, he needs too improve though couple times he wasn't tight enough on the wide player giving him time to control a pass and pick out a cross. A lot of attack came from his side towards the end of the game.

Disagree with you on Donny at fault for goal ! Go back and look at AWB poor header and then ! his weak stroll in to a position to receive a pass from a team mate trying to recycle. Harsh on DVB again when AWB got sent off in the 1st game Vs YB and DVB got taken off to add a CB and his season has been tough ever since

This was a game where we could experiment and play the youngsters. Some of the comments I’ve seen online make me laugh. Just because we haven’t won 6-0 people are saying the players are crap, the coach is crap and the system is crap. We were able to give games to the next generation. I wonder if these people are proper fans. Probably not.

It's the coach's 2nd game and he decides to see what some fringe and young players can do in a game that meant nothing because we had already topped the group. It also gave time to focus the first XI on particular training drills and not preparing for an irrelevant match. It was actually a very sensible decision. Some fans can't cope with that decision, which is nuts. Presumably none of these fans can delay gratification nor think strategically. Judging by the comments. It seems likely they can't.

Think my main criticism of greenwood at the start of the season was that he was trying to run the game by himself taking shots from bad angles and trying to force the play hopefully with time he'll have better composure but definitely a promising player and should be started over Rashford

I was gutted when we signed that spud for £80m. He's got the touch of a trampoline. The worst part of his game is when he gets it in his head that he's a midfielder, loses the ball, error leads to free kicks and goals against, THEN he doubles down to rectify his mistake by taking more stupid risks. He's a garbage CB. Only use is letting footballs bounce off his giant head. I would much prefer to see Lindelof or Bailly partner Varane... then McTominay, Matic and Jones. God knows how we'll get Maguire off the wage bill.

Whaat> Greenwood was all around good. Beat players with the dribble. Put in some good passing. Put amad trough. The switch of play with his right foot was also excellent. So what are u on about? Bailly was the same old. Still ran with the ball and lost it twice. One or two passes that only by luck did not get intercepted. Otherwise he is fast and not afraid to put his body on the line.

I think all the players that played today should be lauded to some extent given the fact that these have not had games for a very long time. Donny looked like he was just the only midfielder given Matas limitations. Maybe Ralf could have experimented more with matric or Fred alongside him. Other than that I wasn't much with victory but how these players can cope with the energy

That is where u see the difference between RR and the likes of ole and Rio, he see the areas a player needs to improve and ain't afraid to let it out to improve his player unlike showering praise and praise in my opinion, to some extent might get to the head of a player especially the young

We played a b team who was dusty and had no chemistry and when they got tired we had nothing to put on. And lingard was worful never seen a performance that bad since the liverpool game.

I think the issue here is everyone thinks Young Boys is a bad team, they're really not. Underdogs in CL 2021 have come on strong, Young Boys, Sheriff Tiraspol to name a few.

The results is fair for young united side. They could have won with clinical finishing. They gave away too many control of the ball mostly due to poor passing and holding the ball too long and trying to dribble against pressing opponents.
