Its mad and why I've always had more respect for clubs like Man United, their fans were behind United, despite having a way worse season than spurs and poor performances as they tried to break Arsenal down. On paper yes, in reality the Villa and Liverpool game along with Spurs and city all connects as it affected 5 teams. As Everton and West Ham are safe they're most likely not playing for anything major as especially with West Ham, Moyes will be leaving. Arsenal needed Villa to lose against Liverpool to give Spurs some hope in beating City to qualify for the champions league. As Villa drew it now means Spurs have to win in order to stand a chance with champions league. A draw won't be enough but it will also complicate things with Arsenal due to the goal difference.

Was wondering why man utd fans who has a lot to lose for man city winning a fourth on the bounce didn't roll over for arsenal but spursy fans are saying the unthinkable again. Shows how small minded the club operation is.

I'm looking at Duran at Chelsea and seeing a great fit. I don't necessarily want us to sign anymore young players for the starting XI, but get him on the books and then loan him back out to villa again. He'll be a superstar in 3-5 years.

These two are ex-pros who have played in the Premier League for Chelsea and Tottenham. Has anyone ever asked them that if they were still playing today, and if it was them going out on the field to fight Man City, would they be professional and give their all to beat them? I sure hope the answer would be a yes.

Jaime is bang on. We’ve had too much grief off them over the years.. I live in North London and I’m taking a loss to city over seeing that lot celebrating in the streets all summer.

That's fair. I'm from north London and I remember how miserable it was for us arsenal fans when you boys were in your prime getting to CL finals. But CL for your team now would be huge.....

Jamie's logic is we dont want champions league as we dont win it anyway..we play in europa league and win that...by that logic, they go and play in championship, as spurs cannot win premier league..

And you wonder WHY Spurs aren't taken seriously. They're more focused on Arsenal than anything else not "we need to win a trophy"

This is stupid, wanting your team to win even if it harms your club. 1) Even if Spurs beat or draw against Manchester City that doesn't guarantee Arsenal win the league. Arsenal struggled against Manchester United C team. Which means there's a good chance they can bottle it to Everton with pressure being on Arsenal to win. 2) Aston villa most likely will not beat crystal palace. Tottenham need to have winning mentality here so they can qualify for champions league. Unlike Arsenal and Manchester United, Tottenham are not on the level where they can pull players with Europa league football. They still aren't guaranteed to build a squad with champions league but still they have more chances with champions league football. Europe league just like champions league will have similar format so you need a squad next season not just a first eleven. 3) Even if Arsenal do win the league, it's just another league title, if it was champions league then you could understand. How about qualify for champions league and try to win it yourself before arsenal?
