Managing Menopausal Brain Symptoms

MANAGING MENOPAUSAL BRAIN SYMPTOMS//BRAIN HEALTH AND MENOPAUSE
The menopause opens a new chapter in a woman’s life that can take her on a roller coaster ride of foreign feelings lasting easily a decade or more. From hot flushes to low mood to insomnia to forgetfulness, menopause can be deeply distressing for many women. I look at the impact of fluctuating hormones on a woman’s brain health and how to manage well-being during menopause.

This was really helpful, my brain fog has lifted and i put this down to magnesium supplements. But i still have a hangover feeling everyday, and everything is an effort. I dont feel depressed at all, but very apathetic and my brain feels like it physically hurts when i have to concentrate, especially on a new subject or something unfamiliar. The strangest of all symptoms is none of them are like anything before, headaches are worse, hotflushes almost burn, and anxiety comes from nowhere! Its all indescribable. I wish more neuroscientist would get involved. 😊

I’d love to hear about surgical menopause as well. I am going through it now and there’s nothing gradual about it.

Do any other womem feel these thousands of videos go on and on about the symptoms which we kind of know ad nauseum making us feel even worse and more worried. Very little is said about actual help available except a reference to HRT which isn't right for evety woman especially those who have cancer history. So many private clinics exploiting women who are at wits end and can't afford the astronomical consultation and medicine fees.

"Making us feel worse and more worried." I have allergic asthma symptoms and bad inflammation from 42 and now worse at 50. I'm tired. Many women lived through this phase in history.

Is HRT safe if my mums sister had breast cancer and my cousin has currently got double breast cancer? My mums dad and brother died from cancer too. Ive heard you shouldn't take it if cancer is in your family.

Can you get a woman to eat something other than sugar and Doritos. Who knew……oh I know some fried cheese that would be better for me.
