Thank you legend. If he had been a Spanish or French player , he had gotten the same recognition from "European/BDor" purchased media what top class Spanish, French, Italian and Dutch creative defensive midfielders usually get. The technical ability, vision, composure, passing and decision making skills had been excellent in his playing days. Won all cups with the club while being a essential player. Speaks a lot .

*All comments are about Carrick - but respect to Bruno* for showing the humility to step down as penalty taker this time (after he missed the 92th minute peno vs Villa), and to let Ronaldo take instead. Bruno may have a slightly higher percentage scoring rate than Ronaldo on penalties - but he doesn't have the same level of experience and steely confidence. *Hopefully, Maguire follows Bruno's example* and steps down as Captain as soon as Rangnick takes control of the club. Maguire is only captain in name anyway - everyone knows it's Ronaldo who leads the team, in every shape & form.

Footballers are so removed. 'No one realised the pressure it puts on the family'. It must be tough being paid £100k a week, retiring at the age of 34, and then taking several years to just spend with family and take a break. Can't see many of us taking a few years out in our mid 30s. Do me a favour. 😉

I honestly think he missed one of the biggest opportunities by leaving and not working under rangnick and learning from him especially when ralf more than welcomed carrick to stay and help with the unity of the team. Also he doesnt deny his leaving also had some part to do with being loyal to ole. I would not say its either good or bad but should be respected for making a difficult decision. And to be fair, taking football out the equation and despite the horrible job done over the years, ole has some real good people close to him who were not only just teammates but are true genuine friends like this.

What 'Card Board Cut Out' Carrick showed to Us what he didn't do as a assistant to Ole meaning he didn't have Ole's back after he always protected him in public. He showed to be too passive again where he needed to be firm publicly especially in the dugout. As a Management team we always felt they could have done better & address their strength & weaknesses a lot more. On Carrick to resign, that was the best decision he could have made for himself & for the club. Now McKenna & Phelan, to Us they let Ole down!

Attack is the best form of defence. The other team cannot score, if we have the ball, whether they be Newcastle or Man City. Arsenal should consistently be applying the "Positive Possession Retention" style of play, throughout the game. That means, keep safe possession, as you constantly seek through ball opportunities, execute the through ball if you find one, then try to finish clinically, and repeat. No dropping off if you score a goal, unless its at the very end of the game. Attack is the best form of defence, if you can score once, you can score more. Use the momentum of confidence you get from scoring, to go for more, with Positive Possession Retention. Arteta should pick the best in-form players that can execute it, even if half the team is made up of players from the Academy. Being Loyal to out-of-form players that can't help the team WIN BIG, no matter the opponent, will cost Arteta his job. Arsenal fans are not like Man Utd fans, as long as our team keeps winning big, we will not care less if Auba and Partey are not even in the squad. No player is above the team.

No Beef, Its thought in general that Ole was part of a team even though he took press conferences or picked the team, the 4 of them all confided with One another and made decisions together, you can see Ole has gone and the football and the team selections are the same, if Ole was not good enough then none of them were good enough, being that they were all part of Said team, right thing to do is follow Ole out and let the club go in new Direction.

The Three Stooges' - Let's puts things in prospective with the last three managers: Moyes - Out of his depth, West Ham suits him, Van Gaal - should have won the League with squad he had but instead he decided to send everybody to sleep until he got 5th place so the board had to act. Mourinho - even though he was successful that was the worst football we've seen at Man Utd post Fergie that went Toxic so the board had to act. No More Defensive type Coaches e.g. Conte, Rogers - Leicester suits him etc... Ole has been the best Manager since Ferguson so we need to appreciate his contributions to our present state of affairs, managing recruits & sense of direction. Ole wanted us to enjoy our football again so we're glad for that & we're been looking forward to the next game. Unfortunately The board acted hasty & parted company with Ole by mutual consent due to recent poor results. All Ole lacked was Experience Coaches to deal with work load so To succeed with this squad then Internally should have the first option to take over otherwise seek an Offensive experienced Coach to fit the Man Utd progression. With the squad we have minimal 4th place this season & should be challenging for the title & the other cups at the latest next season, Ralf or Not you are that close - otherwise you might as well call it a day, No Excuses! We should bring in Roy Keane as Manager or Head Coach with his Management Team, that would encourage to get the players & staff to improve on their focus, performance, consistency and achieve more. 'Roy is the Best Man for this Job'

This is cap! Ole met manutd at 7th and left the club 9th after spending 450M while promising "DNA". Where is the progress. Players stop playing for him after Liverpool game. ain't that toxic? Kept playing the game players who had been poor in form repeatedly. you said he lacked experience coaches, isn't it his job to get the best out of his team and coaching staff???
