Great movie

This is the most moving most powerful scene I've ever come across. The tears come down and you just sob in combination with the music as Lisa Gerard's lementing pierces right through your heart as you see Pita running into the arms of her mother and as the car drives off, its as if she is singing for him to be at peace and to not be afraid to cross over. It is very rare to find music that is as uplifting you feel as though you are walking on air, as devastating as losing a loved one, and enough to take away any pain and weight off of your shoulders. I'm speechless and cannot turn my head away.

I absolutly love this womans work. I first discovered her in college when she was in a band called Dead can Dance. I used to listen to Seraphim in the bath with candles....it felt very cathartic then and still now. Able to convey pain and sorrow as well as joy and abundance. Much love to you Lisa xxx

I was one of the few people I knew of who liked Dead Can Dance, when they were still largely new. They didn't really hit their stride until their second album, but what a work of brilliance it was then, and is now! I love DCD as a group and I'm inordinately pleased to know that Lisa Gerrard has a brilliant solo career too!

I'm cracking up. I thought of this song out of nowhere, for the first time in many years, while I'm sitting in the bath in the dark with only one candle lit.

He was lost and ready to give up and die. But Pita gave him life and happiness something he was having a hard time finding and desperately needed. At the end he gave his life for her. Not only will he be forgiven for his sins through sacrificial death but now he can rest knowing he did something good for someone he dearly loved and cared for very very much. One of the best movies I've ever seen.

Only by forgiving ourselves can we rest easy. You cannot take back what is already done and realisation of that fact will help you be a better person. People sacrifice themselves as a apology for their crimes as they feel that is the only way to show how much their sorry means.

What an incredible story this movie told. Denzel Washington gave a superb performance. I didn't know it was based on a true story until the end of the movie. Then of course I cried like a baby. It is a fantastic movie. One of my favorites. And the music of course, just added to the tears. The music grabs hold of your emotions and just doesn't let go. Powerful stuff.

For some reason this song makes me think about life.

Un tema que me hace pensar en muchas cosas, que me genera mucha fuerza, autoestima. Un macho puede estar solo casi toda una vida, es insano, muy triste vivir así. Aun así también anhela el amor puro y sano de la mujer que desea y ama, solo que ella no lo sabe o no lo comprende, las bases y/o leyes fundamentales del universo se dan a entender de una u otra forma para cada uno, simplemente uno debe abrir la mente para ver y escuchar. Yo ya tengo mi herramienta para enlazar, ya elegí a la mujer que deseo y amo, ella no comprende esa visión, las conjeturas del espacio-tiempo son muy complejas para explicarlas, pero creer y aprender ó saber cual pueden ser y como manejar sus engranajes debe ser no tan complicado si uno se expone y predispone a aprender y actuar. Quiero ser merecedor de una segunda oportunidad, para enlazar con ella. Ella tiene algo que yo necesito y creo y apuesto todo mi cuerpo y vida a que ella necesita algo que yo se hacer, pero no se si lo querrá averiguar, depende de ella, solo de ella. La voy a buscar y seguire buscando vagando por toda la eternidad en el universo hasta que me quiera escuchar ó hasta que se me cierren los planos dimensionales y no tenga mas cuerdas a seguir.

Man on Fire was just on bbc1 trended in uk on twitter. Cant believe so man hadnt seen it before. Magnificent film and magnificent music.

One of the most impactful movies of my life. A story of loss, lods of hope then redemption through the love of a child. Creasy finds hope in the innocence of a child. Truly why Denzel Washington has been the top actor of the past 20 years or so.
