Filip dreams of writer’s glory and luxurious lifestyle in a more prosperous part of town. One day, he gets a knock on the door. His neighbour Tereza, an older woman that Filip tries to avoid by all means, asks him to write a letter for her fiancé. Filip agrees and by doing so, he gets involved in a mad game between reality and fiction.
Based on the short story "Her Lover" by Maxim Gorky.

Wow! Haha very meaningful short film ! ❤️ he felt no motivation to write. No happiness from within that inspired him. He felt lost in his head, confused, frustrated he felt he had no control. The woman Tereza is probably someone in the past that cared for him. Could be, girl friend or just a friend. But deep down inside he felt guilt he cut ties with her. He felt regretful. Writing to Tereza made him feel inspired. His fingers worked perfectly! However, it was too late. The relationship weathered away. However, in the ending he feels hope. It’s never too late ❤️

The animation skill, props, movie set and the characters are all outstanding.
When love comes knocking, it would be wise to answer the call .... or risk missing the opportunity, perhaps forever.

Clement Rodrigues Some people are so focused on their goal/destination that they forget to appreciate the whole path. Obviously, he wasn’t interested at all about the flower although his mind told him to consider the flower as a soccer ball...

Clement Rodrigues Tereza was just passing through, never meant to survive upside down. She was a lesson for the next one, the next card, the next chapter. The only destination is Final Destination, everything else is just a stopover.
He needed a muse and Tereza was his inspiration. The typewriter was his nemesis as it is to almost every writer-especially those of us with writer’s block and those of is who lacks inspirational things to write about. We’ll done!
She use the excuse to write a letter to Boles to call the guy attention. He was lonely and she also was lonely. Both needed LOVE and companion. Nobody appreciate what they have or can have until they loose it.THAT IS THE MESSAGE. Man always too slow to understand woman feelings. By the time they wake up pufff the dream is vanished.

its based on the short story Her Lover by Maxim Gorky. In the book he keeps writing her letters and she mends the holes in his pants and socks. She tells him she needs love in the world and maybe Boles really is out there somewhere. Eventually she is put in prison for some sort of crime then it flashes forward into the future and he states she is probably dead by then.

I really enjoy this type of animation. The attention to details is amazing.
Прочитала я, значит, после этого рассказ Горького, который, к слову, так и называется - "Болесь"... Что ж, главную мысль они донесли, с первого просмотра в принципе понятно, что всё завязано на проблеме человеческого одиночества, сострадания к ближнему; очень понравилось, как органично вплели тему писательства и вдохновения ради образа главного героя, ну и конец приятно удивил, в котором действительно "той самой" Терезы не существует, а её место теперь уже занимает паренёк, тоже нуждающийся в своём "Болесе"....может, даже больше, чем кто-либо... и именно на это был намёк/подсказка в самом начале, в сцене с почтовыми ящиками..

This was exceptionally well done! The clay models were gorgeous! There was so much attention to detail, in this.. it definitely deserves more veiws, and likes, than it has. 😊💛✨

I also was impressed by the artistry and and all the attention to the smallest detail what a great piece one of the best animated shorts I have ever seen.
To prostředí je nádherné, psací stroj, tužky a psaný text na papírech, špinavá okna a oprýskaná zeď i osvětlení… velmi, velmi hezké.
Beautifully crafted story, details are mind blowing.

He started believing in himself after he had at first realized creativity from her and his fingers no longer go boneless when he begins to type. as he went on with frenzy, he felt he was missing something. Tereza is creativity.
How you'd make clay dolls' faces so expressive?? I especially love teresa's, she's got more expression than any average flesh n blood actor I've seen lately, 😅... And beautifully animated, by the way

En el libro, él sigue escribiendo sus cartas y ella repara los agujeros de sus pantalones y calcetines. Wonderful!! This character is so full with expression- I wish, there would be a second film about him! Great animation, much better than many others, because it`s so expressive, and not so artificial!

An extraordinary and poetic story. We all seem trapped; still, it might suffice to remember that we are not alone and may leave the door open for our neighbour... and ourselves. No ivory tower is without a door, to let us out. And to let life in.

Excellent execution of story. Reminds me of an old black & white made for TV movie "Dearly Beloved" which had John Hillerman (Higgins from Magnum PI) as the writer.
