The only malfunction was the rider and this was deliberate. Either suicide or looking for his 15 min of fame on Social Media. You don't just suddenly become outside hanging on. You end up that way on purpose.

He died from his injuries. I heard he was drunk, lifted the bar & dangled there. Only a very small child could slip under the bar...he had to let himself out. It's tragic. But there is personally responsibly & accountability.

He was really drunk and decided to try and do pull ups on the bar. So technically it’s nobody’s fault besides his own. But besides that, I feel really bad for him and the people who witnessed it. I go to lagoon very often and each time I go, I ride that sky ride a few times. I’m just really glad I wasn’t there to see it that day

Yeah exactly. I've been on that ride several times, if he would have slipped, he'd be holding on the other way around from the bar underneath, not facing the cart. And there's ride attendence where you get on at the start who can stop the ride at any point to let people on, so it's not like he just waited for the cart to go overhead and grabbed it, they would have seen it. No, he waited until he was high in the air and climbed out, it's his fault, not the parks

By what cousin? None of the family made public statements. I’ve searched everywhere and nothing. He was there with his wife and child. Witnesses reported him being intoxicated.

He did reportedly do some pull ups, they just weren't in the video. The video only caught a small bit of his stunt. I believe he was drunk, wanted to show off, maybe planned to hang there for the length of the ride, but inevitably slipped because the ride is too long. I don't think it was a suicide, it was just a stupid decision. If he'd wanted to die, it would have made more sense to stay in the seat until he got high enough, then jump put. Rather than hang out before it even got to its full height.
