The Goat was right when he said in a one off game you need an element of luck. They got that bit of luck with the first goal. I'm amazed at the (over?) confidence of fans before the game. maybe I'm of an age (first game Feb. '62) that I'm always fearful, especially when we play them. City won 3 trophies. The season is far from a failure. UEFA super cup, FIFA Club world cup and the Premier League for the fourth time in a row. Superb

City were not at their best today to be honest. United first goal was a gift , what was city,s keeper doing ? but the second goal was straight out of City,s game book, it was a good goal, no complaints there. So well done united, you deserved it today. see you next season !!

Derbies are always funny games, form and quality often goes out the window. Not the finish we wanted but another fantastic season. Great vlog as always Ian, thanks for all of your content this year, really appreciate all of the effort on your part to make it happen. Sometimes you have to face facts and the fact was today, although it grieves me to say it, but Utd were the better team. When I saw the team sheet I thought Pep had picked a strong team although I would liked to have seen Dias in the starting lineup. I suppose Doku proved to be City's best player but KDB, Foden, Bernado, etc just didn't play well today.

They were not the better team (25% possession, less shots, corners, etc), but they were hungry, and we were lazy. They knew the plan was to sit back and lump it forward every time we lost the ball, and it worked for them. The first goal was a gift, but it came from our stupid sloppy giveaway. They were hanging on for the entire 2nd half, but they did their job, we didn't do ours.

Definitely underestimate them Cheesey , Utd play long balls against us to bypass the press and we didn't deal with it . 1st half was one of the worst this season but hey , 4 in a row .

I feel sorry for the Blues who travelled down to Wembley , some of our team were already on the beach . CTID

The key to dealing with this anti-football low-block garbage next season is dynamic direct attacking wing play. Simply can't play through the middle against a low-block. The space is in wide areas when dealing with anti-football. So players like Doku, Savio, Bobb, and possibly Frimpong will be essential to solving the anti-football problem. Cup competition knockout football presents a unique challenge because anti-football can be very effective in a one-off match where teams are just defending and playing to get to a penalty shootout like madrid or riding their luck and capitalizing on mistakes like united. So if we want cup success next season, then pep's team selection and tactics have to be on it from minute 1 in these one-off knockout matches.

Agree with you 100%, if they seriously want to win the FA cup they should have waited until after this match. Celebrated toooo early and it cost them dearly.

Pretty poor that from City ..... Pep should have known that United were gonna play that way ...... massed defence, sporadic breakaways, hoofing the ball up the pitch .... it was obvious to me what they were gonna do even a week before the game! Having said that, the Premier League title is always the thing to win, if the Champions League isn't available, so its undoubtedly been yet been another successful season for City.

KDB doesn't necessarily need to go, but he needs to phased out like David Silva was. He needs to be on the bench and an option to come on for the last 30 mins. He shouldn't be starting again, especially when it means we have to move Foden out of position to accommodate him. If he wants to be a starter, then he has to go, I'm afraid. Bernardo probably needs to go. I think he has run himself in to the ground for 7 years now, so a slower league like Spain will let him recharge, Walker is making more brainfart mistakes than he used to. The pace is still there, so if he can accept being a rotation and helpinghis replacement settle in, then he would be worth keeping for another season. Kovacic was the best player today and should stay as a bench option to help see out games. Rodri needs a proper rotation option to let him get some rest,

KDB was pathetic, like a 90 year old won a raffle to play. Rodri is exhausted and is making loads of mistakes. Foden was a headless chicken, always in the wrong place, and when it fell to him THREE times in the box where he should have scored, he took a terrible touch, Bernardo was really poor. Created nothing. Stones was awful, Ake did nothing wrong, but he was substituted. KDB was awful, Kovacic did nothing wrong, but he was substituted. Doku coming on was right, Kovacic coming off was wrong. The moment KDB came off, we looked a thousand times better. Just because the manager took the wrong players off doesn't mean that they played badly.

Premier league charges aren't time barred.. self sponsorship, financial doping, hidiing payments,, exaggerating attendances.. city can't sue for damages,they have created most of the charges themselves by refusing to cooperate. Tell me, why were city worth £400 million sponsorship at a time when arsenal only got £99 million? That's like someone sponsoring wolves for £1 billion. It just doesn't make sense. 😂

I'm really disappointed today. The performance was nt the best... We had enough chances to finish them in the 2nd half. Winning the league is the most important, but the FA Cup was ours for the taking, and poor selection (KDB and Stones), and a dreadful performance in that 1st half played right in to their hands. KDB ruined Foden, Rodri and Haaland today. He was atrocious and it spread to the rest of the team.

Ian, after their ridiculous luck throughout this competition and leading up to the final, I felt the rags name was on it, I’m not surprised they ended up winning. Having said that, we have to admit they were the better team on the day, our first half display was shocking and summed up with that terrible first goal. We were much better second half with the changes and if we’d have got our goal earlier, we could have got back in it. We have to give credit to the tactically inept ETH, who probably got it right on the day. Fair play to them, but for me Ian the most annoying thing about it all, was losing a cup final to a team that has been absolutely dog💩all season. Frustrating day. Finally Ian, thanx so much for all your brilliant effort covering our games, it’s so appreciated, you represent the true fans who follow our great club. You are us. Thanx pal.
