    Like it mate! Nice job. I'm about to do exactly this to my '04 TD42T with RE4 auto in Nov once I'm back from Queensland. Definitely saving this video for reference and looking forward to seeing how she tunes up!

    @@house-ofhoon it will surprise you the difference. I had to rebuild mine after learning a hard lesson of over 20 pound of towing they recommend head studs I was running 36 and lifted the lid clean off the engine while towing. I’m getting about 20 less horsepower then I was running 36psi now due to a better build set up. Will be great to see the update videos keep up the great work

    bought a mamba 2863 ball bearing turbo fitted this up about 6 weeks ago i found a couple of issues the coolant line to the block. The banjo was the wrong size and i also cut and welded a barb on the end of the original oil drain pipe found the hose supplied would kink a little and the wastegate is to unpredictable to set i ended putting the original one on it seems to have a bigger spring fitted with boost controller

    I'm liking this channel mate! Keep it up! I'm running an older style Garrett 2871r on my GU with a 12mm JP pump and a HPD tmic, at 155kW/210hp and 564Nm the Garrett is starting to leak from the rear seal and I'm due for an upgrade anyhow but can't justify the price of a UFI just yet!

    How does the liquid thread sealant work compared to traditional Teflon tape?

    To be honest, it was just more work, more complexity, more things to go wrong and I didn't have the fittings that I needed for it anyways. I just make sure to let the car idle for a minute after driving it

    Hey mate, just letting you know from previous experience that the turbo you have (11 blade compressor wheel mamba 18g 6cm) and they are quite hard to tune. I changed it to a 6 on 6 blade, same thing mamba 18g 6cm rear housing and my egts dropped 100 degrees and made boost alot earlier. Alot better to drive and safer

    I don't get you 4x4 guys with turbos... turbos are for F1 cars that are running at high speeds consistently... hardly useful for a vehicle on trails in low range... Should be a supercharger for low end power without turbo lag... put the turbo on your forklift or powerboat... where it operates at capacity...

  • @house-ofhoon

    @house-ofhoon

    2 жыл бұрын

    The main reason is cost. It's significantly cheaper to buy a new turbo than a new supercharger. Also, my engine came turbo'd from the factory, so the task of simply swapping the turbo to a new one is much simpler than swapping to a supercharger.
