Wow he played uncle Roger's character really well, and it's nice to see the real him here, so humble. And good looking too. He looks like one of those sleepyhead in class, but turns out to be the smart one. Dalam kelas tidur je tapi bila ujian tiba2 markah dia paling tinggi hahaha Here's an idea, i think it would be great if there's a writer or a director somewhere out there start writing a sitcom or series with uncle Roger as the main character, delivering punch lines yet every episode has its own lesson to tell. Sign Nigel Ng up for the role. It'll be like having our own phua chu kang, the show many of us grew up with. I'd watch it on television every night. Pity we don't have any english sitcom series anymore like we had back then with Kopitiam. Anyhow i wish all the best to Nigel Ng, Malaysia boleh! 💕

This Podcast is nice. What Jinnyboy saying about Uncle Roger is bringing our Malaysian culture to the international level is truly touching.!!!

When I first watched uncle roger reaction video on bbc fried rice, followed by his reaction videos on Jamie Oliver and Gordon Ramsay, I tot he’s one of those you tubers trying very hard to use these high profiles to create his own fame, but his points r so spot on , that I kept watching his other videos and found that this guy is a legend of his own. He can literally make every normal conversation or topic into light hearted comedy so naturally. Only shortfall is there is too few videos of his work and too many reaction videos to his reaction videos 😂

Yes! Uncle Roger reminds me to normal uncles (weirdly we call them here as...'father', not own father as in not every uncles are blood related. In my place, uncle is usually for those who are younger than 'father', and father is for those around Uncle Roger's age, 40-ish?). And eventho I am annoyed with those people (they are not hilarious in any way), I can't help but keep watching and feel annoyed haha

I used to hv Hongkie friends during my student days in UK who wd speak English with that accent. Malaysian Chinese English accent on the other hand is similar to Singapore's.

Anyone else found Uncle Roger on KZread when he was just Nigel Ng? I saw him on KZread when his channel was just with 7k subscribers. And he's hotter in white!!!

Rm 1.8k or 2k (if lucky) to as starting pay is the norm unless you are employed by some big firm or top5 co of your related field than the starting pay is higher about 2.8k to 3.2k. I guess after so many years the 1.8k still the same.

Nigel is the only Malaysian that lives in UK so long if one day he returns to Malaysia he still wouldn't have that fake British accent so many Malaysians somehow acquire after studying in UK half the time Nigel spends there

Although Uncle Roger's accent does come across to me as a Hongkie accent rather than Apek Petaling Jaya... but I guess that would be more familiar to western ears..

Been enjoying the Uncle Roger phenomenon of late and was genuinely curious to see an in depth interview of the creator of this character. However I must say that the interviewer hasn’t yet learned that the interview is about asking questions... not telling your own stories. I now know more about you than Nigel and that was not my goal here. Best of luck in both of your future endeavors! 🙂
