Following the mother and her ducklings travelling from the beginning to the end sometimes makes my heart beats up when they could not jump over the kerb. Thanks to the lady holding her baby. Yes from the kind lady but not the stupid duck mom. She was about to go swimming. I think there were 3 ducklings who scaled the sidewalk. The left-behind ducklings later caught up with the duck mom and 2 ducklings. If I am right, 1 duckling was left behind.

Those duckling were way smarter than their mother. I have never seen a Duck leave their chicks behind. never in my life. I rescued 8 that fell into a sewer and mom never left for a single moment, She stayed and begged me for help. So stinking cute.

@@annswaydis7245 Because..cannot interfere with wild animals..cannot touch a mother ducks chicks..or birds. unless orphaned The Mother could reject them.. and rob chick's of learning lessons they need to survive in the wild..they have a lot to learn..Mother is teaching chick's st all times The mo there calls them ..they know her call and she her chicks..it is amazing..even in The penguins in huge colonies of them..the Mother KNOWS HEF CHICK'S CALL AND THE CHICK HERS..GOD DID THIS He watches over all His CREATION..TAKES ARE OF THEM FEED'S THEM. You folks were great!!!! The Momma duck kept saying...come children, and they tried as hard as they could to get up the dang curb, and then the young lady with the baby was able to easily coax them to slope!!! You are real heros to go the extra mile!!

It’d make my day, year, decade if I ever witness something like this. The ones that couldn’t make it almost seemed to be saying “okay lady, you’re our new mommy”. Just adorable.

Literally glued to my screen, hoping they make it. This 10 minutes of ducks has more drama that most 2 hour movies!

So glad they all made it to safety!

Got me a bit stressed there! Something to feel happy about before going to bed. 🥰

Wow, that was tense.....watching the remaining babies to catch up with mama and other siblings. Whoa!

I was in tears and then the lady showed back up along the road were they could get onto the grass. What a wonderful person you are to have taken the time to get these babies back to their mom and saved them. Bless you.

There are other vids, walking through stores, a school, and humans who like to watch & assist. We all get to learn, so it's great that this was yours. Humor; yes, ducks like the water. Or wasn't that todays lesson? LOL Mallards are lovable, as opposed to Canadian geese who can turn a nice field into an unusable dung heap with big turds. They are bigger too (and they eat human children so be careful.)

@@maxwellmark8077 I'm in New England. The weather here is basically whatever it feels like being on a given day. We did have a great summer going with no heat waves until last week, however.

This reminds me of a book I read as a young child, "Make Way for Ducklings." It was the first book I was able to read on my own, which made me very happy and proud of myself. As an adult, I became an elementary school teacher, and when I found this book in my school's library's discard box at the end of one year, I snatched it up as a treasured piece of nostalgia. 🙂 This video also reminds me of a PBS special called "A Duckumentary," especially the scene with the wood duck babies. Wood ducks make their nests in the hollows of trees near the pond/lake that is their home. When the ducklings are ready to leave the nest, their mother will go to the pond/lake and call to them. The ducklings will jump out of the tree and fall to the ground, their baby wings extended. The ducklings are so light, they almost float down. They're not harmed by the fall because they land in the old leaves at the base of the tree. They then follow the sound of their mother's quacking until the whole family is reunited and can go about their duck business. 🦆 Thank you for posting this delightful, wonderful video! ❤

Sweetest LOVE story I have ever witnessed. At the end also when apparently the father of the ducklings was waiting for the families return.. It was certainly tearing at my heartstrings. Thank you ladies so my much for the loving care you gave the ducklings to assure their safety. Wonderful acts of kindness.
