they could've done so much better for aurora's storyline. i felt like there so much she can do in this sequel like she should've done something a little bit of heroic when she found out about the missing fairies, she should've fought ingrith's assistant gerda in the chapel and not just desperately trying to help the moorfolks out, she should've spoke about maleficent more to feel their mother-daughter chemistry even if their far away from each other, she should've slapped ingrith in the face many times or at least two after she turned maleficent to dust and gave her a speech that will really define her as a true princess and they should've focused on aurora and phillip's romance story as well but not too much because i think they have the chemistry but it's not really hitting me that deep. they should've also explored aurora and diaval's friendship. if this actually happend in the movie, she could've been lily james' cinderella and naomi scott's jasmine but they slept on her and focused too much on maleficent since she's the lead. i can't belive that elle fanning who HAS A GREAT CAREER ON CINEMA and someone WHO 'COULD' BE ON THE SAME LEVEL as angelina jolie and michelle pfeiffer and is now A GOLDEN GLOBE NOMINEE would be given a bad script just to become overshadowed because of how poorly written her character is and just exist to annoy you. aurora is her favorite princess of all time, they better gave her the story she deserves in the threequel or else.

I think they could have also had a scene or two with Aurora meeting the people of Philip's kingdom, maybe getting a tour around the market, interacting with the commoners and showing acts of kindness and charity to her soon to be subjects, thus winning them over to her side as she is warm and pleasant to them in contrast to Ingrith who is cruel and ruthless. If they weren't going to do much with her in the later acts of the film, they should have at least built her character up more in the first act. They sort of did that briefly at the start when she was holding court in the Moors, why not show her act more queenly and therefore represent a better alternative than someone like Ingrith? This could have also paid off in the end when Ingrith is toppled and the fairies and people of the kingdom put aside their differences, Aurora could have acted as a fulcrum for a peace between the two sides.

I think she was a hero

Despite this film not giving Aurora that much character development, I love the outfits and hairstyles they gave Elle. I think they did a great job in providing Elle with some of the best costumes in her career. Honestly not even The Great has provided her with as many regal and elegant looks that makes her appear almost ethereal.

i agree. both of her costumes from the two are actually perfect without comparing it to each other but her clothings from this film was literally a dream.

@@brxsncz I especially loved the wedding dress shown at the end. All of her costumes were great and stunning, but that wedding dress was the cherry on top.

I didn't see the film but Elle Fanning is just so perfect as Aurora! She really look beautiful in blue (Aurora's signature color in the original).
