Male Pattern Baldness: The “Cure”

5 months on Finasteride!
#finasteride #hairloss #malepatternbaldness #baldcure #hairlosscure
1. 1mg Oral Finasteride a day
2. 5% Topical Minoxidil once a day at 1ml
3. I use 5% Ketoconazole Shampoo twice a week along with
4. castor oil or coconut oil or rosemary oil
5. I microneedle once a week at 1.5 millimeter with a dermaroller
On days that I microneedle I use minoxidil. I don’t advise this especially if you are starting out. But I use less (.25 ml on areas that I roll on with the derma roller: which are the areas I would like to see more growth. Dermarolling may help in minoxidil absorption)
Symptoms?
With finasteride, I haven't had any symptoms or side effects…at least yet. I still have the same sex drive that I had before, and I haven’t loss any strength or whatever people typically blame on finasteride. I had hormone blood work done before I got the prescription from my dermatologist.
By the way, I get a 90 day supply for $12 using GOOD-RX and my dermatologist’s private code brings the cost down to $8. I would urge people to look for better deals rather than using forhims, roman, keeps or some other expensive online pharmacy. Hair Loss is a continuous fight which requires funds. You should try to be as economical as possible unless money is not an issue.
Minoxidil: Dry scalp has been a major issue from topical minoxidil. I remedy this by using oils like olive oil, coconut oil, rosemary oil, etc…
I will say one thing, do not think oils alone will do anything major to combat hair loss. It almost never works. I did not achieve the growth that I got by using oils. I USED pharmacological intervention. Oils, however, can make the scalp healthier but it still won’t address the main cause of
hairloss in men: androgens with the main baldness-causing male hormone DHT (DHT is not needed after puberty. This you can research).
Ketoconazole: It tends to dry out my scalp a bit, so I use some coconut oil with it. This usually helps.
Micro needling: It made my scalp tender. So, generally I apply slight force until I see some redness on the areas.
This is a SLOW process. NEVER rush with derma rolling/micro needling.

Thank you a lot for making this video, it's nice to see videos talking and showcasing balding in curlier types of hair as most videos about balding in men on youtube are those with straighter hair types and a lot of the advice given generally doesn't apply to those without those hair types. The part about having good hair coverage is extremely true. It's much easier to keep yourself in denial about balding when your hair type makes covering up the effected spots easier. My Father was able to keep himself in denial about balding and thinning hair for long enough by keeping his hair long and making use of his hair texture, but unfortunately this denial got the better of him and he decided to cut his hair short one day only to be met with the cold truth about how bad the thinning and balding had gotten, he could of easily started taking medicine earlier to slow down or prevent thinning but he instead kept himself in denial and convinced himself that he wasn't balding, saying things like "I can't see any big bald spots on my head, so I guess I'm not balding" etc, basically stuff like that. Moral of the story, use your hair texture and type to your advantage to help cover up balding, but don't let it get the better of you and change your reality. Constantly soak your hair wet and cut it short for reality checks when you think you're in the clear, and use the previously listed to document and compare, once you notice big differences, instead of growing your hair long in denial, keep it short and be proactive to slow down or prevent the balding, or you could accept your fate and go bald early.

  • @Kyle_Bu

    @Kyle_Bu

    2 жыл бұрын

Hey man I know that feel. Firstly, minoxidil doesn't mess with hormones that's just finasteride and you're right you need to wait until you're at least 18 to use finasteride. Nothing is stopping you from buying minoxidil and using it though. It's better than nothing. You were probably having hair loss from other stuff. Using Oils doesn't solve male pattern baldness. Perhaps you had a fungal infection? Poor dietary habits, etc...
