Rather than see Adam as another "Captain" from the events, they got all pissy about it, which is probably why the 2.0 SI in HImpact will be dual gendered

I might be biased, but from those three, I like Caelus the most because of his funny dialogues options and his ability to being random even sometimes at crucial situations (that's why I can relate to him lol). I don't get attached with Adam, because he doesn't have any quirks in his personality outside from doing missions in APHO (that was when the last time I played HI3, maybe it has changed recently?) but I admit his combat system is the coolest. As for Aether, he's like the balanced version between those two. Still obeying missions, but at the same time he isn't stiff and can joke around a little (even thought as not randomly as Caelus). But he's still fine tho. So, in a nutshell : 1. Caelus : my personal favorite mc, has random humors but can be serious and kind at times when needed 2. Aether : Less random than Caelus but still maintains conscience and being able to be a goofy person for a little bit 3. Adam : no unique traits from his personality, but he has the best combat systems (aerial attack, QTE, double jumps, jumping while dashing, etc) apart from those two. Overall, they're good in their own things, this is just my personal opinion.

They set up a lot of background for him(unlike the other SI protags) in the past such as how he acted in school with Lyle and how it's implied that he keeps the distance from most people at St. freya as the result of being the only guy was a controversial choice

adam has a personality though you'd only see it in the bar scenes in APHO 2 or whenever he is talking to carole and lyle. aether doesn't have any personality. this is why self insert MC is hated by HI3 players , self insert usually makes an awful character personality. sadly part 2 MARS will have a self insert protagonist. i'm not sure whether it's final since Hi3 chinese players was very vocal about their dismay and we may not get a real successor to Kiana. i was hoping that the kid characters from Hi3 become the next MC along with Adam and the rest. like Lilia and Rozaliya , they are the same age group as Adam. though we will get the twins back in APHO part 3 along with theresa.

Adam gameplay goes like this: 1. Activate ULT Moon Ring 2. Use Heroic Hack 3. I ain't gonna sugarcoat it

Fortunately Adam is not a self insert character, that way he is pretty much cooler, the boy just want his paycheck :))

I liked Apho because of the aerial combat, high jumps and dashes…i wish the newer Hoyo games keep that feature

Actually male MC in Honkai should be Kelvin. He is the corresponding character to Kiana as a MC with another gender in another era And all of them bonded their fate with Mei / Raiden Mei, even in GGZ and no matter in which world.

Yeah, he's the only male playable character because CN playerbase HATED having a male playable character💀 They even threatened Hoyoverse lmao, but anyways, after that Hoyo decided to never do another male playable character ever again🥺✌️

Star rail mc dialogues are funny as hell. Galactic baseballer. "I am the bone of my bat,trailblazzing is in my blood" Lol there always a second/third option in dilogue to turn any serious scene into comedy

Ok out of topic, but as a big Pokemon fan, the first thing that came to my head at 0:56 was Inteleon-

I love both Caelus and Aether.. although, genshin battle Gameplay is just built different. Only archons usually have epic ults and thats about it. But what i hate the most about star rail is that there is no freedom of movement, hell, you cant even jump. Snd its step-by-step battle system. In that terms genshin better. I do wonder if they would add awakened version of characters in genshin tho though Didn't play in honkai 3 cause there are literally no playable male characters except Adam (?) And he is gacha at that. -.- out of All three games H3 seems to have best combat system

He is a non gatcha character in the game within the game. He is available in rpg game mode so no gatcha.

@@barti560 same I was really sad when I find that out but we the first male char appeared in ch 5 I was motivated to continue, this game has male in the story and each one of them is top teir written character. Main Story was so good that I was hooked.

The Chinese playersbase will riot and boycott the game if Adam is gacha. At best they tolerate male characters if they're only playable in certain story sections (like Kevin, Otto, Adam), but not as characters people can possess in their archive. Adam is a permanent and mandatory character in a specific story mode because he's the MC in that one. He's not attainable through gacha and can't be used anywhere outside of that story mode like the gacha characters.

It's because of physics different simple word like this If you put trailblazer in genshin impact he will get genshin impact physics When you're putting traveler physics in star rail he will get star rail physics It doesn't have to do with the lore
