Kiana so far is the most developed mc hoyoverse has made, though caelus/stelle still have some potential and aether/lumine still have a long way to go till they truly develop more as a character.

genshin has been a thing for 3+ years now. by 3 years hi3 already released 3 kiana's. although the 2nd one was just slightly different from the 1st one. and a handful of skins. i think genshin needs to overhaul it's gameplay. it's not that difficult since they did so for hi3 with part 2 and bits and pieces through out the years. i think charge attacks should have a unique animation depending on the character and weapons like how hi3 has different weapon skills for each weapons and not just the type of weapon they use.

For example from Mondstadt to Liyue, Traveller became more interested in learning new things, then from Liyue to Inazuma, Traveller decided on keeping themselves out of trouble, which is why Traveller initially refused to help, wanting only to meet Ei and leave, untill they finally got convinces to help, which means that Traveller became more prudent thanks to being manipulated by Signora and Zhongli I'm Liyue. In Sumeru, once again tries to not get involved deeply. But they are forcefully dragged into the events by the Akademia, however Traveller became more proactive now, actually moving to solve the problem themselves and actually reaching the correct conclusion through analysis. By Inazuma, Traveller is not only more prudent, proactive and smart, they won't avoid problema anymore, they will face every challenge head on and remove their obstacles by force, because they are sick of getting dragged to other's problems. So you see, while slow, Traveller has improved a lot

You should also had mention for Kiana’s Finale Battlesuit, it is the only one that shares a 3-way ultimate animation

Honkai Star Rail: Caelus or Stelle are trying to become like Kaslana because of Bat (Kaslana iconic weapon) and Fire Lance (Lance was made by the first Rand but the style attack and skill is definitely like Durandal - The original Kiana Kaslana but she never kept the real one) Genshin Impact: Aether and Lumine lost their power because of Unknown God (HoV like Character) and the fall of Khaenri'ah during Archon War. He or she was supposed to be S tier but more good 5 star makes him/her low tier... Genshin's MC doesn't feel like an MC. Paimon talks for you 99% of the time and they have no agency as a person. The number one thing you care about is your sibling but that rarely gets brought up and is used as a pretense for you to go through all the regions and fix their problems. They're just a self-insert to experience the story. As a character? Bland and no development

Honkai MC's just be built different, *but no-one tops Kiana.* Absolutely love my girl and still use her as much as possible, her story and growth is just heartbreaking and... well, to put it simply... *beautiful* in such a unique way. (Also why did you feel the need to get my waterworks going with Da Capo 😭) I FINALLY recently got her Herrscher of Flamescion form and it's just so fun to use (also got the new collab skin as well). Unrelated note, but I really hope if we ever meet Kiana's doppelganger in Star Rail that her and Mei get a happy ending. They deserve to be together.

Ever since I started playing genshin since launch, I've been waiting for the traveller's character development. 3 years and still nothing. And then HSR came outta nowhere and gave us an MC who already was pretty good character and their development within release of the game💀💀💀. Ever since that I've kinda lost all hope for the traveller to become a character that i can actually care about.

I feel the same way actually - I really wanted to main Traveler so I wasted a crap ton of resources leveling him and his talents up (Geo and Electro are at max). I also wanted the game to make a Traveler-exclusive moment like HSR did during the fight against Cocolia. That moment never came and it's such a shame.

They really need to make Traveler's strength in cutscenes reflect in the gameplay. Lorewise they're able to hold off a giant robot, hold off their own against an Archon, beat Signora without breaking a sweat and able to take on multiple soldiers at a time. All of that being done solo, yet it's hard to see him as strong because all the kits are pretty much useless. Compare them with Trailblazer who has good kits but lorewise often requires help. They tried to 1v1 Cocolia and got stabbed as a result, nearly blew up against the Doomsday Beast and was mostly a side character against Phantylia. But you don't see them as weak because gameplay wise they're pretty good.

For me it’s not even because of their kits that they feel weak… Unlike Genshin’s mc, trailblazer’s strength doesn’t fluctuate as much as the traveler’s… Even then, Genshin’s mc is really weak even in lore, since we only managed to fight off most of these feats because of outside help, not without any outside help like Kiana and trailblazer did at times… I think the Scaramouche boss battle was the first scene where they did fight him solo and managed it tho..

Well we really can't compare the Trailblazer to the Travelers. Caelus/Stelle lost their memory and they just woke up randomly and get tagged along. Meanwhile, Traveler is already experienced fighter as they already travel countless worlds. They just lost their powers but not their experience. Although there's a chance if Trailblazer remembers their past memories. Meanwhile, Kiana really started from beginning, from weakling newbie to a goddess.

Funny how Caelus now wields the War-Flaming Lance after the first stpry quest which is not just alisa rand's (1st supreme guardian) weapon but also its a weapon forged by the will of qlipoth Meanwhile aether still using his dull blade since 2020 and hasnt shown any solo fight feats against godly or god-like beings.

Kiana need to go on a depression trip and get less dress to become more powerful Traveler need to unlock the statue of the seven to unlock the elemental power Trailblazer needed to stab multiple times to unlock all the the path and along the way getting a new weapon

Oh you've missed out on a lot, then. While the main story revolving around the tuna is quite good, they really lost me after the showdown against the Herscherr of Dominance and Otto's exit. In other words, the start was great and we did get a nice swan song for Otto, but then it kinda fell apart after that. Right now the main story feels like a "random bullsh!t go" mish-mash that is, imo, hard to follow. And I really did lose interest after Otto's exit, too. Elysian Realm on the other hand was a beautiful story from start to finish, and it really made me like Elysia far more than Kiana. I still do like her, but Elysia and her story just hits different, man...

The thing is each game are very dependent on its play style, HI 3 is very fast pace so there would be lots of combo making the game fun for people who are very agitated, HSR on the other hand is dependent on stats and animation as the game is turn based so people see more on the character attributes and contribution to the team, for Genshin impact…. Well let’s just say it isn’t really necessary to do the MC like that but they did a good job at making the MC strong and reliant in its cutscene at least 👍

the moment they buff aether/lumine is the moment genshin breaks. cause the game is reliant on the fan bases of the characters and the about to release characters so if aether gets buffed the work put on those new chars would go to waste

Honkai Impact combat animations are pretty damn nice! As a Star Rail/Genshin only player, I have never seen them before now (and only really know Honkai Impact stuff through the KZread animations), so I really like this comparison.

Kiana is now difficult to compare with MC Genshin and HSR because she is literally a goddess who can deliver remote interdimensional attacks (In the current SA storyline)

While Kiana explodes planets with her ult stopping time, Caellus/Stelle have a god spear bringing the ground into eruption, at the same time Aether/Lumine: pew...pew...pew water bubbles

Kiana: 1st child, have gone through her rebellious stage, is successful in life, some of their battlesuit have been meta at one point, might give the torch to a certain man who needs paycheck but CN community says No! So = Caelus Aeather: middle child, cash cow to fuel both games, weak character gameplay and tend to be replaced. Everyone prefer the sister, might involve with Dr Mei's project Caelus: last child, probably a son of Kebin & Kalpas, have more of Kalpas gene and drip. At least he have Kebin's voice, coolness and chest! His play style is fun to play and his fire form is usable. Got honkai in the name but where the honkai??? Feel free to add whatever those characters have in their game weather it be gameplay, character or whatever comes to mind

Imagine calling HYV's most successful game of all time "cash cow to fuel both games" More money gets spent on Genshin than goes to HI3 and HSR COMBINED, which means Genshin's self-sustaining model is the most successful of all three games. By claiming that Genshin's money is the cash cow that fuels both games, you're just admitting that both other Honkai games are just so shitty that they can't sustain themselves with their own earnings and needs Genshin to bail them out month after month after month. And while HSR is an actually good game that can sustain itself, HI3 is just a shitty game that's dying slowly but surely. Also more people picked Aether than Lumine, and Aether is the canonical MC, so there's that.

I hate how in the last version of Genshin, traveler will probably talk more in cutscenes and dialogues and be better than most five stars considering he’ll probably get his powers back. But honestly I kind of understand why he’s so shitty ngl. His real powers were taken away and that made him weaker. While he’s awesome in the cutscenes, literally holding off a giant ass robot and fighting a god, a dragon, and another god, he usually needs help(except for his fight with scaramouche… I think). And in Fontaine cutscenes, he didn’t do shit. While he was just looking around, navia and clorinde was destroying the robots and in the new cutscenes in 4.1 he was… utterly useless. Like how the hell can you almost get blown away by some damn wind, but clorinde, someone who should be weaker than you barely moved an inch?? At that point she just stood there. Like, there are many characters in Genshin that are weaker than traveler but always has better cutscenes and fends off bitches with ease, but you’re telling me Aether who fought a god, no! Three gods! Can’t easily take down a couple of mobs in seconds… at that point HYV doesn’t care about traveler and their power and scaling. They don’t even have a five star animation. While I know that four star animation is suppose to imitate a five star animation, it’s still not it. Like how are you gonna give Kiana and trailblazer a PERFECT AND COMPLETE five star animation, but not traveler? At that point just redo the fucking game and make traveler the youngest so it can get attention tf. Cause idc of how much good stuff Genshin gets, it still lacks in many places and honestly I’m tired of it(I’m also tired of how I can come up with rant and criticism comments but not summaries for some school work-)

Aether is bullying target as that middle child archetype at this point, down to the point of Caelus got free 10 pulls every patch, relatively better 'weapon' gacha and a lot of of QoL from BHI3 Kiana's base 3D game, truly the archetype of spoiled youngest child

Caelus/Stelle: The rising rookie Aether/Lumine: The back to zero Kiana/Adam: The hardworker and determined

Honkai is like Mihoyo's passion project, while Genshin is its biggest cashcow 😅

The fact that Honkai Star Rail mechanics and updates are the things Genshin players had been asking for years (Resin cap, relic system, and non-rotating farming) and Honkai Impact's updates are always high quality (amazing cinematic and storytelling) are the reasons why people keep calling Genshin as nothing more than Hoyo's cash cow... I like all three games, but it's hard to deny that Genshin is certainly receiving the least amount of love among the three. T only end game content we have in Genshin is Abyss, compared to HSR and Honkai Impact that have 2 or 3 end game contents to play. Then, there's the quality of Genshin's story experience, which is diminishing. While Sumeru's and Fontaine's weren't as bad as Inazuma's, the Archon Quests are now mostly comprised of fillers where all you do is walk and talk, it's no longer that same exciting combination of fighting and dialogues back in Mondstadt. Most of 4.1 Archon quest can literally be removed since the only important bits are the ones near the end. Fillers are good, but too much filler is not.

I think it depends per game on what sections get love, with HSR just being fortunate of being last and benefiting of all the experience they got Hi3 needs a massive overhaul of certain ui elements and the gameplay and maps of older story missions. I played all of Hi3 on pc and was quite sad when I noticed that everything is optimized for mobile, like the cinematics and art being compressed to death that I sometimes can't see shit on my 4k monitor which destroyed some moments, the in-game assets being very low quality for things that just didn't have to be and so much more Not to speak of Mihoyo/Hoyoverse not improving their account system in the last 3+ years. Steam players don't have crossplay in Hi3 and you can't create new profiles and redo everything (in all of their games) for literally no reason.

Genshin's focus has always been on the world building and lore, imo. To this day their attention to detail in the various regions that have been added since the 1.0 days are above and beyond whatever we got from HI3rd and HSR. Those games just have a different focus, and I'm okay with that.

I think that in GGZ characters dont matter as much Since everyone can use any weapon and strength of weapon is rly important Tho prob passives make characters better than early one and Kiana depends on lore there too U have normal then HoTe then controlled HoTe then u have even stronger one (i forgor it) and last is lesbian kiana with mei

There actually pretty funny and its always a fun time when the Traveler outright reject "tedious" work and the few times they have voiced lines are always out of the blue So unless your skipping most of the dialogue i would say Kianna is the weakest in personality falling on a lot of anime troupes

HI: Oldest, been through most(respect for u Kiana), honestly deserves more love, great games Genshin: Middle Child, great story, most popular, have a REALLY toxic community, forgotten game for hoyo HSR: Fun story, fun characters, Stelle is such a sass, actually kills off characters

Kiana still solos every genshin and hsr character, as the daughter of hoyo she deserves the crown

i still have hopes for Caelus and Aether - they can go meta in their "final form" if you wanna call it that. End game Aether and Caelus gonna carry I can feel that

I really hope HSR protag sees as much development as Kiana did. Because I'd love to have experienced that, but can't just start another gatcha 'just because'. It's super cool to see her evolve as a character and seeing that Imbibtor Lunae exists, clearly they have the systems in place to allow for character evolutions. It feels to me that eventually they will learn how to use the power of the stellaron and that will become like Dendro. I just hope we see them get a cool new look if that happens, since right now their outfit is pretty low-key compared to Kiana's.

Even tho I barely understand HI3 story, I almost tried watching the last part😭

i wouldn't say the trailblazer is based on lore, because the recent events still refer to them as the galactic baseballer (first path), even when you've obtained the path of preservation, i don't know why exactly..

I remember that the first Hoyoverse game I played was HI3, the animations are absurd, by far the most overpowered anime experience of the 3 games.

Conclusion, almost every Honkai protagonist and even a large majority characters' gameplay do mostly on the story and lore. Because other characters like Mei, Bronya and Seele do also get upgrades because of the story, while the same thing is occurring in Star Rail with Trailblazer and Dan Heng. While in Genshin... it depends mostly on how do you progress on the World because is an Open-World that you mostly have an amount of freedom to explore, yet Aether is currently one of the 5-stars that aren't that good.

We all know if the upgrades for traveler and trailblazer were gacha their upgrades wouldve been crazy

Caellus/Stella and Kiana are the MC's with baseball bats 😎

In her finality form she used 3 weapon type - the gun, the sword and of course, the kaslana family heirloom the bat, hell she even used the katana Mei passed to her and cast her ultimate skill with it. She is now a weapon master.

I get Kiana is cool and all and she's flashy. Sure she's powerful but until she's actually on multiple planets, I can see Caelus/Stelle getting to her level after earning all of the other Aeon's gazes

Funny enough, it is the middle child. First was honkai impact 3rd in 2016. And then genshin impact in 2020. And now honkai star rail 2023. So yeah, genshin is indeed the middle child lol.

Btw, Nahida not much replaced as moved MC into other teams and expanded playstyles with Dendro, if you need dual Dendro teams in Abyss then Dendro Traveller is one of the best.

Imma say it, HoFi Kiana Ult with the moon was the draft to make Jingliu Ult animation, both jump, glowing eyes fall onto enemies with an attack

And something, mc and y/n is different, in hi3, y/n is captain but mc is Kiana, that's why most of the time, she has her own dialogue and you can't choose because you aren't her, you are the captain, that's why hi3 players are also reffered as captain and Kiana is not captain On the other hand, y/n and mc in both hsr and gi are the same, therefore gi players are named as travelrs and hsr players are named as trailblazers, you can choose dialogue options bc in the game you are them, not another existing entity, so you can give them the personality you want
