I dont know. I think a deep gurgling growl in the middle of the night would be more bone chilling than a hoarse roar. Because that is a clear warning message . I have experienced it - from a tiger. Lions also do that pretty effectively.

I love how they looked back at the camera right after the fall, like “you better not even think of putting that on the internet” 😂

Love watching the "Guys night out" videos. He was like "I meant to do that"❤❤

Those males are as big as they will get. You will find maybe 3% of males that will grow bigger than these. Which are these males in the "area" bigger than these?

​@@seanlee7563 Yes I have seen the one with the protruding belly injury and he has had it for quite a while. Amazingly he is managing well, have seen him mating on previous occasions and he is still keeping himself fed. So ultimately, as awful as that injury looks, he is doing OK as they all are..... Have just rewatched the vid and I think, looking closely, that the one with the belly injury is the second lion to scale the bank. If it is him he seems ok.

What a coalition, wow! Strong, healthy and big like no others. I think male lions are enormous nowadays compared to those in the past with some exceptions.

I remember the days in May 2022 overlooking the Sand river and all the different wildlife. The brothers are looking good!

I love watching my cat make jumps like that. They land so softly and it looks effortless and they somehow use the from paws to pull themselves up (while also using the least amount of effort they think they need as all cats do)..then I see lions do it and I can mentally feel their weight when they land. Lions are built in such a heavy duty way. I remember a big cat expert saying how even though lions and tigers are so majestic you'll still sometimes see them trip. haha, all animals do and I swear that cats will get embarrassed when they do

Its ok leo, I like you more for it. Thank goodness all 3 look healthy and strong. I read somewhere one was attacked by two BD males recently, glad that the info either not true or he was not injured as result. They now have big new family to protect. Don’t leave them like you did the Styx so all credit to legendary Styx lionesses for Styx kiddos looking great and growing despite Gijima’s bothering them.

The 3rd male is handicapped. Mite affect their power sooner than later if 3 young males come along, or 2 strong, experienced males

They are a coalition

The least agile of all the big cats. Also weak hind legs that could be a contributing factor. Tigers on the other hand have powerful hind legs enabling them to leap meters into the air.

Hope he didn't hurt himself. Those 3 brothers need to last out another 2 or 3 years. The Kambula's are with 15 or 20 of their cubs.
