Malaysian woman invited us into her home... 🇲🇾 | Yong Peng, Rural Johor, Malaysia Vlog 2023
Whilst wandering through Yong Peng, we were looking for food options and were struggling to find a good option for us.
Fortunately we ran into a lady who was willing to invite us into her home and cook for us... Join us deep in Johor.
This is one of those experiences you'll find in Malaysia if you dig a little deeper, people are willing to let you into their abodes to feed you!

We are Pat & Giulia, a couple from 🇬🇧 and 🇮🇹 living in London.
We decided to go travelling and ended up living getting stuck in Malaysia during 2020 which spurred the creation of this channel, we're now back on the road after a lengthy hiatus!
We're Malaysian and Indonesian enthusiasts who enjoy discovering spots off the tourist trail and don’t like taking ourselves too seriously. We're not here to be vloggers or to be famous, we're not necessarily here to "inspire" anyone to travel either - just enjoy the spontaneous fun of it, weird situations and of course making local friends.

I think you always can order only vegetables in any restaurant.
Ketahuilah bahawasanya makanan Malaysia "dah cukup jumlah, melebihi daripada cukup"!
Guys you don’t have to specifically look out for a vegetarian restaurant. Pop into any kopitiams / restaurants and they would be happy to serve you a ‘meatless’ dish. Just say plenty of veggies and tofus or eggs.
@VeggiesOnTour
Жыл бұрын
We do try to do that and sometimes you get lucky, but other times (especially in smaller towns) it happens that stalls don’t have anything unfortunately :( the night before this video we luckily managed to find some fried tofu/beancurd but only a couple of stalls were open around there in Yong Peng (selling meat only) and we couldn’t even get rice to go with it 🤗
Are you still in Johor? Currently the flood situation in Johor are getting bad. Hopefully you're okay.

We’ve stopped now! But there are some videos with it in! People were asking me to use it! 😂
Patrick don't use the word Gila amongst the older generation.. its rude.. Gila means mad.. its like the younger generation in the Anglo-Saxon world use the word 'SICK'' when they mean it's ''really good''.. some of the older generation may take it as an insult..
