Makita Cordless 125mm Angle Grinder Unboxing & Review PLUS Test run! LXT 18V Brushless DGA504

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Recently I purchased a 10 piece combo kit of Makita Cordless power tools and thought I'd unbox and review each of them for anyone who is doing some market research on what tools to buy!
Here's a link to the combo kit unboxing and a review on the charger & batteries - • Makita 18V Brushless L...
I am not sponsored in any way by Makita and receive no benefit from anyone for doing this review.
If you wish to support my channel by purchasing through one of my Amazon links below, that would be very much appreciated - but certainly not the aim of this video. I won't give links for any product that I wouldn't buy myself :)

Also, I now have an Amazon storefront where I share links to assorted tools & equipment I use and recommend. As well, I'll be adding links for various supplies and products used in my videos as time goes on. Even if you purchase something on Amazon totally unrelated after entering through one of my links, it really helps support my channel with a small commission.. and it costs you nothing extra at all! 😊👍
Thanks for watching!

I'm so jealous of your Makita tool haul! I don't even have need for an angle grinder but now I want one.

If you have a work shop you can always have water/air/power stations in strategic spots, fed from lines routed from ceiling so you have no tripping issues and/or hassles running them to the various locations. Then you just need 2m-4m (7ft-14ft) extensions and you can shrink all the AC tools leads to 200mm-400mm (1ft-2ft) and take them from station to station..... Ay least with AC the tool runs the same regardless of how long/hard you use it. You also don't need to discharge unused batteries to 40-60% at end of the day. You just finish your work, pack up your tools and tidy your work area and your done.

That's true for workshop only use - although cords do still get in the road! Many of my angle grinder jobs are outside the workshop though and sometimes a long way from a power outlet! Thanks for watching 😊👍

Great review - helped me make a decision on getting one as my old corded unit is getting tired. Use Makita already so the skin would be fine. Thanks.

I'd been looking everywhere to find info on how to attach the guard to my new grinder. The instruction manual is sorely lacking. Thanks to your walk through I now have it up and running!

Wow xmas come early for you, a great tool, no need to tighten the lock nut, immediate centrifugal force will do that. A very handy tool indeed,

Scored a bargain with that pack mate! I've wanted to upgrade to aeg or makita, but I'm in too deep with ryobi 😂 If you happen to pick up a 2ah battery at some stage, that could be good for these smaller jobs in terms of cutting down a fair chunk of weight 👍

I like this grinder .Had an old 6 amp Makita that was very tough.I was told to put the paper side of the disc up on grinding discs. Is it different on cutting discs? Side note, there is an adapter that you can buy that will let you use dewalt batteries with Makita tools and the other way around as well. Thanks

Thanks Mark! I don't think it really makes any difference which way the discs go, other than you can still read the paper label on a half worn disc when it is fitted upwards. I didn't know about the adaptor - handy if you run both brands I guess..

It's funny - any review video I do seems to lose subscribers! I think the reviews will be a slow-burn type vid and gain more traction as they show up in Google results 😊

What do i need to do to keep my batteries safe for 3 months, i wont use them until spring, i dont want them to get damaged

  • @TheUltimateRecycler

I think the best is to store them away in a dry cool place fully charged. They may gradually discharge, so you will need to boost them up before using them in Spring. I have read that you shouldn't leave them flat for a long time. Others may have some input here..

You probably never want an angle grinder hanging from a tool belt. The amount of damage it could do if it started up…!
