Had no idea you could do this with a regular printer if you let it dry for 24hrs. Beautiful project.
That was so cool! You can just let your imagination run wild. I loved the process and the fact that you made a one of a kind chair.

There are beautiful transfers out there you can purchase and use, but it's nice to know that you can come up with a design completely your own and make your piece truly one of a kind!!
Thank you. Awesome video and instructions

Terry... glad it was helpful. I will say that those decals have held up beautifully over the years!
Fantastic! I've done this in small scale for my signs.
This was the best water decal tutorials that I’ve ever seen! Now I want to try it too!

Thank you! You’re going to have fun with this!
Looking at Sunnyscopa website, there is this water slide film for laser and film for inkjet printers. So there is a difference.

I bought mine from Amazon, buy according to the type of printer you have and will use. there is a difference with how the ink is laid down for each so you do need to correct paper for the type of printer you have.
This is my second video of yours and i am loving your teaching very much. Thank you for such pleasant videos. This is gorgeous btw.

Beautiful! I’ve been wanting to print my own transfers myself as well but wanted to use rub on transfer paper. Have you ever tried that type of paper and had success? I wonder if you have to seal those in the same way. Thank you for your inspiration!

I haven't used rub on transfer paper, though I have printed images out on regular paper and used the reverse decoupage method to transfer images. Completely different, but maybe I'll have to look for the rub on stuff and give that a try!
I love this. You do BEAUTIFUL work. Also did you know they have water slide paper for dark objects as well I believe it's white so you would have an offset on your image. I thinking I am going to.do my daughters dresser with her favorite pokemon or maybe velociraptors🙄😂 I will make something pretty for me 😒😏😂😘

I love that idea! That`s the beauty of the waterslide paper - you get to select your own images and personalize your projects! I didn`t know about the the white backed version of the paper, so thank you for that!!
What did you seal the chalk paint with before applying the decals? Did you use regular clear chalk paint wax?
@QueenBeeCreations
Жыл бұрын
I sealed with a clear polyacrylic since I'd be using water to apply and move the water decals.
What kind of paper did you print them on please I’m sorry to ask but I get confused easily . This is absolutely beautiful !

@@Rita-yw2tn you’re so welcome…. I was just thinking it was time for me to play with this some more
What did you seal it with at the end
@QueenBeeCreations

I just used a poly acrylic top coat…. It is still all sealed and wearing beautifully!
How do you get rid of the edges of the water slide to disappear? I don't want it to be visible.
@QueenBeeCreations

The closer that you trim the paper to the design the less 'halo' but truly... the film itself is so thin (think plastic wrap thin) that you don't notice it and really can't even feel the edges when you run your fingers over the dried designs.
Beautiful project. What sight did you get the floral images please?

Ah... these were just quick pics taken from a public domain site found through Google images. Unfortunately I didn't record the 'where'... I just wanted some soft watercolour type florals. Sorry... I'll ensure I have the exact sites in future!

@@QueenBeeCreations thanks for the reply 💌
I have not been able to get the water slides to work correctly. The paper just does not want to slide off the back and then I end up causing the front side with the image on it to crack.

I’ve done them a number of times now and have not had any issues with them releasing from the backing paper… I’m using warm water, not cold, if that makes a difference. I’m not sure if the brand makes a difference or not though I just bought mine from Amazon and don’t think it was anything special.

@@QueenBeeCreations maybe it's warm water because everything else that you're doing I've been doing
